CREATIVE SEWING CLUB
1st Wednesday of every month, demonstration only to suit all makes and models of sewing and
embroidery machines and overlockers, with notes provided on tips & techniques. Show & Tell &
more. TWO SESSIONS: 9:30am – 11:30am OR 1:00pm – 3:00pm COST: $40.00 per year,
giving you entitlements to in-store discounts. If you don’t want to join the Club, just pay $5 each
time you attend a demonstration...this casual attendance excludes the 10% discount off haberdashery.
MACHINE EMBROIDERY CLASSES – FRIDAYS (9am-1pm) and SATURDAYS (12.304pm) with Adele- $20 This is a hands-on class for BEGINNERS to ADVANCED
Embroiderers, who wish to use their machine to its full capability. Adele has a wide range
of projects on offer.
OVERLOCKER CLUB - Third Thursday of the month 12noon - 2.30pm - $20 + $10 kit
Here’s your chance to use use your overlocker for more than just neatening seams.
15th October – Kids T-shirt – using a standard overlocker or coverlock machine.
19th November– Christmas Stocking using flatlock or chain stitch quilting + optional rolled edge
fringing.
BASIC OVERLOCKER WORKSHOP – with Robyn –Thursday, 26th
November - 9am – 3pm - $55. A hands-on workshop where you learn how to
master your overlocker! In the morning we go through threading, general
over locking techniques and what all the buttons and dials are for. In the
afternoon we make a small bag using rolled hem, pintucks and gathering.
All fabric is supplied. Book Now and pick up your Requirements List for this
informative workshop.
BEGINNERS FREE MOTION QUILTING CLASS – with Rosie – Thursday, 22nd
October – 9am – 1pm - $25. You don’t have to stick to straight stitch quilting and in-theditch quilting....take this FUN class with Rosie and learn how easy it is to free motion your
quilt....everything from basic “stippling” to “droopy boobs” with a bit of “hokey-pokey”
thrown in, you’ll enjoy every minute while taking your quilting to a whole new level!
QUILT AS YOU GO WORKSHOP– with Rosie - This class will be held early next
year...it’s where you can put all your free motion skills to use as you make a small quilt.
LEAD LIGHT OR CELTIC WORK - with Rosie –
Thursday, 29th October – 9am – 3pm - $35.
DECORATIVE STITCH PANEL with Rosie – Thursday, 5th
November – 9am – 1pm - $25 – Learn more about your machine as
you use decorative stitches to create a floral design on a panel that can
be used as a cushion, wall hanging or quilt block.
UFO DAY with Rosie– Thursday, 3rd December – 9am – 1pm - $25 – Here’s your
chance to work on any of the projects you started in Rosie’s Classes, but haven’t
completed... Geisha Girl, Designer Bag, Quilt as you go, Funky Fish...just let us know what
you want to work on when you book in.
CRAZY PATCH CUSHION with Jenny – Wednesday, 18th November – 9am – 1pm $25.
CHRISTMAS TABLE RUNNER with Jenny –
Wednesday, 25th November – 9am – 1pm - $25.
CHILDREN’S LEARN TO SEW CLASSES AGE LIMIT 10 YEARS – 4 weeks - 3.155.15pm - date to be advised. All fabric and thread supplied.
Option 1 - $55 per week for 4 weeks – includes the purchase of a new sewing machine to
take home on completion of the course and full payment of $220.
Option 2 - $25 per week (with own sewing machine) for 4 weeks.
Learn threading, beginner sewing techniques and make a project.
DRESSMAKING TECHNIQUES – SAMPLE BASED – Expressions of Interest – 6
week course $120 + cost of kit – Total cost for course $170.
