PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
The Living Water™ Pre-Filter Kit is a 5-micron pre-filter designed to reduce both course
and fine sediment in water. The Pre-Filter should be changed when the water flow is
reduced to the point where bubbles are no longer being produced by the Living Water™
unit. The life of the Pre-Filter is dependent on the quality of the incoming water.
The Living Water™ has been tested against ANSI/NSF standards 42, 53, and 55 for lead,
cyst, and turbidity reduction, and for UV performance. The unit is listed under the
trade name Living Water™ and is WQA gold-seal certified.
INSPECTION
Before proceeding, unpack and inspect all components to insure they are present.
If parts are missing, please contact your local Dealer.

Remove the plastic inserts (dust plugs) in the
inlet and outlet of the pre-filter.

owner's manual for unpacking and installation instructions.

Compression Nipple assembly instructions

1. Unscrew the compression nut from nipple
and separate.

2. Slide semi-ridged tubing through
compression nut.

3. Slide tubing over compression flange,
pushing until tubing is pressed up to the
bottom of threads.
4. Raise the compression nut over the
compression nipple and tubing.
5. Tighten the compression nut.

1. Cut the supply line (shown in grey) on the Diverter
Hose, leaving about 4 inches of hose hanging out of
the bottom of the Living Water™ unit.

2. Connect compression fitting to the
tubing (marked grey) from back of unit.
(See "Compression Nipple Assembly"
on pg. 4.)

3. Slide compression nipple into 1/4"
straight connector pressing firmly
to insure a complete, water-tight
connection.

4. Press the semi-rigid tubing
supplied in pre-filter kit into the
other end of the 1/4" straight
connector.

5. Cut the supplied semi-rigid
tubing to desired length.

6. Insert cut end of
semi-rigid tubing into
the outlet end of prefilter, making sure to
push all the way in.

7. Place the second compression
nipple on end of tube coming from
diverter attachment (marked in
grey). (See "Compression Nipple
Assembly"
on pg. 4.)

nipple firmly and
comletely into
pre-filter inlet.

2. Using the semi-rigid tubing (included),
attach the two (2) compression nipples
(included) to each end of tubing.
(See "Compression Nipple Assembly"
on pg. 4.)

3. Connect compression nipple into inlet on the
base of unit.

1. Remove tube from bottom rear of unit,
by depressing friction washer to release
the compression nipple. (See the owner's
manual that came with your Living Water™
unit for complete instructions on releasing
the compression nipple.)

4. Insert compression nipple into water
flow outlet on the pre-filter.

1. Attach the diverter assembly to your
faucet. (See your Living Water™
Owner's Manual.)

2. Plug the Living Water™ unit into an
outlet and turn on faucet.

3. Open the diverter by pulling out on the small knob on front of diverter assembly to
allow the system to fill with water while checking for leaks.
