There are exciting experiences and places to play just
off the beaten path. The ambiance of the challenge
course, when blacklit, is very surreal and an excellent

The visual effects encourage folks to play on the
elements, which is generally a team activity. This
creates a great shared experience for participants.

worse? Once the Toxic Transmutation sets in, there is
no escape!

CABIN1: The Luxie Beauty Booty
Boudoir & Divine Oasis 2016
Sister Tribes Edition
The ladies of Lux Arati present (for it’s third year in a
row) The Luxie Beauty Booty Boudoir & Divine Oasis
at PEX Summer Fest 2016. This year the Lux Arati
ladies will be collaborating with their sisters Setu
Tribe to bring you a combination chill space and
‘performer prep station’. Part backstage burlesque
boudoir, part Silk Road Pit Stop, the ladies will
transform the front lawn of our cabin into a unique
oasis on Art Cabin Row. During the day, we will
offer a shady, comfy chill space reminiscent of a
Moroccan den... featuring tons of draped fabric,
pillows, Caterpillar Hookah Corner and other tribal
decor. The Divine Daytime Oasis is open to all, the
Beauty Booty Boudoir is designed especially for
those in our performance community but pending
some good natured heckling, bartering, gifting or
other impressive and/or exciting circumstances, will
be open to anyone at the festival who needs a few
finishing touches to feel fabulous for their evening.
Daytime (till 4pm-ish) all weekend—Divine Oasis
Chill Space (open to all) Pre-dusk, dusk till it gets
dark, Fri/Sat only—Beauty Booty Boudoir (those
performing each night get first dibs, for Russian
Roulette Variety Show, Setu Tribe, Fire conclave etc.,
before non-performers due to limited space and
supplies.)
CABIN 2: Melancholy Camp: For
the Exploration of Infinite
Sadness
When the melancholy fit shall fall
Sudden from heaven like a weeping cloud,
Melancholy Camp will foster the droop-headed
flowers all,
And hide the Pexies in its darken shroud
Next our cabin we will house a dome that will offer
respite from the parties and the frivolity of light
summer play. Shroud in garlands of ribbon and
wreaths of melancholy flowers, the mats and shag
carpet will provide a space for revelers to repose
and ponder. With a bar that offers coffee, tea and
absinthe and a corner with notebooks and pens we
will encourage visitors to sit, drink and contemplate

Frank’s Old Timey Hostels will once again be

something like that. Anyway, as ol’ Frank would say,
“when you’re in the same boat, strangers don’t stay
strangers very long.”
Also, he may or may not have said: “Because
what good is an individual bed if you’re all by your
lonesome?” - Frank’s Old Timey Wisdom, chapter 4.

magical effects. No doubt this will be the most
MAGICAL theme camp of them all this year at PEX.
Black Cat Camp
From the combined forces of Bangarang and Eli
Camp, Black Cat Camp is a place for all manner of
magickal folk to express and experience the magick
that surrounds us—specifically through the lens of a
feline purr-spective. We’ll be brewing up refreshing
and healing herbal libations, honoring ancient feline
gods and goddesses, and, of course, stretching,
sunbathing, scratching walls, playing with yarn, and
chasing things. Hop on your broomstick and fly on

SETU TRIBE, Geri Omni, Tribe Leader
2016 marks Setu Tribe’s 5 year anniversary and this sisterhood has a very special performance planned in
celebration of this milestone! With the largest performance Tribe to date, these tribeswomen have added
fire, special costuming, percussion, and men to delight our PEX fam on Burn Night!
Led by Philly native Geri Omni, Setu Tribe is a band of PEXies who come together to perform a collectively
choreographed dance. Each movement is derived from an experience or a future manifestation, making
the dance into a series of pivotal moments that each Tribes Woman shares. SETU (meaning “bridge”)
connects us all to these powerful moments as it heals and uplifts through the dance.
