Swim Instruction
VPRD provides swim instruction using the American Red Cross aquatic
program* taught by qualified and dedicated instructors. The focus of the
program is to teach water safety and swimming skills, using a progressive
approach. Therefore, with the exception of minimum age requirements,
enrollment in the listed programs is determined by skill performance, not
necessarily age.
*The American Red Cross has revised their Swimming and Water
Safety Programs, so your child may need to be placed in a different
level than you expect due to modifications in age, skill competency,
and expectations. We ask for your cooperation & understanding as
we seek to place your child in their best learning environment for
safety and skill progression.
SPECIAL NOTE: Participants may only be registered for one section of
swim lessons at a time. Registration for consecutive sessions may result in
the participant being enrolled in the inappropriate level and the inability to
transfer the participant to the appropriate level – refunds/transfers will be
subject to the $5 administrative charge.

Aikido
Aikido is a defensive, unarmed method of self-defense, which combines
a decisive attitude, knowledge of anatomy and swift reflexes in the
execution of defensive movements against an attacker. In addition to the
development of strength, stamina and suppleness, students learn to tap
their internal powers to generate energy that is far greater than muscular
power alone. Aikido encourages self-discipline and a non-violent attitude.
It develops rhythmic movement and physical fitness as well as increased
awareness, reaction, perception and coordination. Registration must be
completed prior to the start of each session.

Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO Mini Camp
Do you have a LEGO® fanatic in your home? Join Bricks 4 Kidz for a
3 hour building workshop. Bricks 4 Kidz is an enrichment program that
teaches children concepts in science, mechanics, and engineering using
LEGO® bricks. In each workshop, the kids will be introduced to new concepts and then build models using bricks, gears, axles, motors and more
to illustrate the concept. Each workshop includes a custom mini-figure
that the kids will create, use during the camp, and then take home! Your
kids have never had so much fun learning! Please note, our supplies are
reused from class to class. Students will not take home completed models
as that would make our program costs unaffordable for most.* LEGO®

affiliated with Bricks 4 Kidz.
