The Ultimate Safety For Total Peace Of Mind
Safety as standard
Thermaglide is a CE
marking and
building regulations
compliant garage door.
It conforms to:
BSEN13241-1:2003
applicable from 1st
May 2005. CEN.
The Machinery
Directive and the
Construction
Products
Directive.
Thermaglide is fully compliant and certified with all safety regulations.
It employs a reliable safe-edge system which stops and reverses
immediately on contact with an obstruction.
The motor controller features an intelligent current sensing anti-trap
feature and an inertia activated anti-drop safety
brake on large doors which eliminates the need
for door springing. Total peace of mind is integral
in the design of Thermaglide.
Ease of operation
Safety Brake
Cardale’s range of insulated roller garage
doors is designed to be safe and easy to
operate. Remote control is fitted as standard,
operation couldn’t be easier and the built-in
courtesy light guides your way.
Emergency override
In the event of a power failure the door can be manually
operated with a handcrank. An external override is available as
an option for garages with no other entrance. Doors with a full
roll box are available with an optional lockable override cover to
prevent unauthorized use.
Maximum Security For Protecting your Home

The ear piercing 90dB built-in alarm which is fitted as
standard sounds if the bottom of the door is forced
up - the ultimate deterrent. The combination of side
runners, extruded top and bottom lath and autopositive locking with anti-lift geometry locking straps
makes Thermaglide extremely secure. Thermaglide is
fully automated so there is no lock to pick or force!
Rolling code technology in the control system
ensures criminal “code grabbing” is eliminated.

INSULATED ROLLER GARAGE DOORS
Key Features...
More Than Just A Garage, Part Of Your Home
Fully Insulated
Thermaglide is designed to give thermal and acoustic insulating properties much higher
than the average garage door. Foam filling in the door curtain plus high performance
weather sealing ensures good insulation - perfect if you want to use your garage as a
work/play room or your garage is under a bedroom.
Space saving
Roller garage doors operate vertically,
rolling into a compact coil within the
garage, above the opening. Not only does
this mean you can park right up to the
garage door, but valuable space is not
taken up inside your garage which could
be used for storage. The door sits behind
the brickwork allowing any existing frame
to be removed, increasing drive-through
width by up to 150mm (6”).
Because it rolls
‘tighter’ than other
roller doors,
Thermaglide takes
up less headroom
when open - just
270mm for most
door heights
The compact roll
(300mm for larger
doors). This, and it’s very compact side
runners, means that Thermaglide offers a
wider and higher drive-through opening
which gives you much more room to
manoeuvre. By taking up minimal space
with the door it means maximum storage
space inside your garage! Thermaglide
doors can also be fitted externally. This
option requires a full roll box and is not
available in woodgrain finishes.
The internal face of the door shown with optional extra colour matched guides and full roll box.
Neat
The standard installation, with mill finish guide tracks and
motor concealed within the door barrel provides a neat and
unobtrusive interior (shown left). The optional extra of colour
matched guides and a colour matched half or full roll box
(shown above) completes the look.

All the features only smaller!
Where headroom is especially tight, the Thermaglide 55
has all the features of Thermaglide but requires only
205mm of headroom and is now available up to 3.0 metres
wide and 2.4 metres high.
Looks good inside out!
The door can also be fitted to the exterior front face of the
garage, the ideal solution for flat roof garages with no
internal headroom. Better still, the lath has horizontal
profile detailing to both concave and convex faces so
doors fitted externally have the same attractive detailing as
those fitted internally. All finishes with the exception of
Golden Oak and Mahogany can be fitted externally.

Accessories & Options...
Automation Accessories
Complete control
Automated as standard, the features of
Thermaglide and Thermaglide 55 are already at
luxury level. To further enhance day-to-day use the
range of control options provides extra flexibility.
RADIO DIGITAL KEYLESS ENTRY PAD
Externally wall mounted, will accept a 4 to 13 digit code
to operate door for opening/closing without the hand
transmitter. A secure method of operation.
WIRELESS RADIO KEY SWITCH
Externally wall mounted, key operated opening/closing
without the hand transmitter. A wired version is also
available.
WIRELESS INTERNAL SWITCH
Complementing standard light switches the wireless switch
can be mounted inside the garage or home for wireless
operation of the door. A wired version is also available,
shown right.
BATTERY BACK UP
The intelligent system can be set to provide
standby power for up to one hundred
days. During a power failure the unit will
have enough power to provide at least
eight complete open and close operations.
BEAM BREAK
Used as an additional non-contact safety
feature. The beam break will halt operation
of the door while in motion if the invisible
beam is interrupted.
GATE CONTROL RELAY UNIT
The relay unit allows automatic gates to be
activated by Thermaglide’s remote control
transmitter.
AUTO-CLOSE MODULE
For total confidence that your door has not
been left open, the auto-close module
automatically closes the garage door after
an adjustable time period.
Must be installed with a beam break.
PARKING SENSOR
A light beam detects your vehicle in the opening and
the LED’s on the display unit flash repeatedly, changing
to continuously lit once your vehicle is clear and it is
safe to close the door.
A beam break is required to provide the signal.
KEYFOB TRANSMITTERS
Doors are supplied with two transmitters as standard.
Additional handsets can be added anytime. The
handset is simple to use yet rich in extra features. It has
up, down and stop buttons and activates and deactivates the alarm. The grey button toggles through
the 8 available channels which can be used to control
any compatible device such as a gate operator or
lighting. The transmitter can also be used to add and
delete transmitters.
DOOR STATUS INDICATOR AND SWITCH
This unit is wired to the control unit and provides LED
indication of the position of the door - open, closed and
intermediate. The unit incorporates a switch to operate
the door.
Door Options
POWDER COATED GUIDES
Available in colours to complement Thermaglide doors, powder
coated guides have the same tough, durable finish as the door
curtain and are the perfect finishing touch. Not available in teak
or woodgrain finishes.
CURTAIN ROLL BOX
For a neat and attractive internal finish or external installation a
curtain roll box is available. Boxes are supplied in colours to
complement the colours of Thermaglide and Thermaglide 55
doors. A half box is a further option for internally fitted doors.
MANUAL EXTERIOR RELEASE KIT
For use in emergencies or in the event of a power failure,
allows the door to be operated manually from outside the
garage - essential if the garage has no other entry point.
LOCKABLE OVERRIDE COVER
To prevent the manual override being used to gain
unauthorized entry to the garage on externally fitted doors.
