Introduction
Welcome to the fourth edition of the AMPS Members Directory.
This directory is produced to enhance communication between
members and, at the same time, to be a useful tool to specifiers
of members’ products and services. There is a product and
service category index at the back of the directory so that
you can easily identify the suppliers you need to talk to. The
directory is also available on-line at the new and improved AMPS
website. I very much hope that you find the directory useful and
please do not hesitate to let me know at [email protected] if
there is anything you think we can do to improve it.
What is AMPS?
The Association of Manufacturers and suppliers of Power Systems and ancillary
equipment (AMPS) is a non-profit making trade association which aims to add
value to members businesses by providing support, information and opportunities
for innovation, market intelligence, technical, best practice, safety, standards and
regulatory issues and by being an effective forum for transfer and exchange of
knowledge.
In addition we are actively promoting AMPS as the place to find quality suppliers
and technical advice from power experts. This promotion is to the wider industry
that is involved in specifying and purchasing members’ products and services.
Governance
AMPS is run by a Council of elected members. The secretariat is outsourced to the
Agricultural Engineers Association in Peterborough and they provide a part time

Membership Fees
For companies with a turnover of more than £1 million the annual subscription is
£1373 +Vat payable either quarterly by direct debit or annually in advance, plus a
joining fee of £300 +Vat payable on application.
For companies with a turnover of £1 million or less the annual subscription is £750
+Vat payable either quarterly by direct debit or annually in advance, plus a joining

DST – DST Temperature Switches consists of a single compact non-adjustable
unit based on a 24 A/F hex brass body, this enables the control to be fitted
GM – The GM is a heavy duty Temperature switch which is designed for use
where high mechanical strength, immunity to vibration and functional reliability
is essential, even after periods of non-action. Electrical connections are single
pole double throw switches, which terminate on 4.8mm x 0.5mm quick connect
terminals. Switch contacts are rated at 15 Amps at 240VAC, and 10 RAmps
at 24VDC. Bulb length is 63.5mm. All versions come with armoured capillary.
Capillary lengths are available in multiples 1.5m.
Temperature Switches:
DCA/B – The DCA/B pressure switch is based on a 32 A/F hex zinc plated and
passivated steel body. It is available with a wide range of mounting threads, and

switch is a SPDT, and contacts are rated at 5Amps at 24VDC (resistive load)
