RESOLUTION NO. 93-7068
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE TASK ORDER NO.
SEVEN, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY HOLE, MONTES AND
ASSOCIATES, INC., ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXTENSION OF A, SIX INCH WATER
MAIN AMONG ACADIA LANE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,
by Resolution No. 93-6971, the City of Naples
entered into a contract with Hole, Montes and
Associates, Inc. to serve as "Consulting Engineer"
for the operation of the City's general utilities;
and
WHEREAS,
the City of Naples wishes to extend its potable
water system approximately 850 feet along Acadia
Lane; and
WHEREAS,
Hole, Montes and Associates, Inc. has agreed to
provide engineering services for a cost of $4,300;
and
WHEREAS,
it is in the best interests of the City to execute
Task Order No. Seven, for engineering services to
be provided by Hole, Montes and Associates, Inc.,
associated with the extension of a six inch water
main along Acadia Lane;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NAPLES, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute Task Order No. Seven, for engineering
services to be provided by Hole, Montes and
Associates, Inc., associated with the extension of
a six inch water main along Acadia Lane, in the
amount of $4,300, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 2.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.

A.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The specific services which the ENGINEER agrees to furnish are
summarized on the attached statement entitled TASK ORDER
NO. HMA 7-93, "SCOPE OF SERVICES". The "Scope of Services"
defines the work effort referred to as "the project".
B.
TIME OF COMPLETION
Work under this Task Order will begin immediately following
acceptance and completed expeditiously subject to coordination
with City of Naples Utility Department staff. Estimated level
of effort expressed in labor requirements for work task is
shown on the attached statement entitled TASK ORDER NO.
HMA 7-93 "SCOPE OF SERVICES". This Amendment expires one
hundred eighty (180) days after date of execution.
C.
COMPENSATION
Professional fees for TASK ORDER NO. HMA 7-93 will be based on
rates and charges as stipulated in the Agreement between HOLE,
MONTES AND ASSOCIATES, INC. and CITY OF NAPLES to provide
professional services. The estimated amount of compensation
is shown on the attached statement entitled TASK ORDER NO.
HMA 7-93, "SCOPE OF SERVICES".
D.
ACCEPTANCE
By signature, the parties each accept the provisions of this
TASK ORDER NO. HMA 7-93 and authorizes the ENGINEER to proceed
at the direction of the CITY OF NAPLES representative in
accordance with the "Scope of Services".

TASK ORDER HMA 7-93
SCOPE OF SERVICES
CITY OF NAPLES
WATER MAIN EXTENSION ACADIA LANE
INTRODUCTION
The City of Naples wishes to extend its existing potable water
system. A six (6) inch PVC water main is to be extended on Acadia
Lane from the existing main located on Thomasson Drive. A new fire
hydrant assembly is to be added at the terminal end of the water
main on Acadia Lane. Approximately 850 lineal feet of six (6) inch
PVC water main is to be installed.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
TASK 1
PLAN/PROFILE
SPECIFICATIONS
DESIGN,
PREPARATION
OF
TECHNICAL
Prepare designs, plan and profile drawing and detail sheet for
extension of a 6 inch water main on Acadia Lane.
Prepare technical specifications for water main construction
for inclusion in the bidding and contract documents. The City
of Naples shall prepare general specifications and incorporate
HMA technical specifications into bidding and contract
documents for use on this Project.
Prepare an estimate of quantities and opinion of probable
construction cost for the improvements designed.

Submit the drawings for review and approval by the City of
Naples. A total of five (5) copies shall be provided for the
City of Naples for review. Upon approval, one (1) mylar
reproducible copy shall be provided for the City of Naples.
TASK 2

The OWNER shall provide all construction bid services.
TASK 3

CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
The OWNER shall provide all construction contract
administration.
TASK 4
-
CONSTRUCTION BID SERVICES
DETAILED OBSERVATION OF CONSTRUCTION
The OWNER shall provide all detailed observation.
TASK 5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES - PREDICTABLE

Perform all design survey, including horizontal and vertical
control for the proposed water main extension.

The OWNER shall secure all permits.
COMPENSATION
The professional fees established for the services are consistent
with Article 6 of the Agreement. Projected fees for the services
required are provided below:
