0540 Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation web page SYMPTOM Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation e-mail. CAUSE There is another instance of the installer running in the background or an invalid Internet Explorer configuration file. RESOLUTION Accept the license agreement before installing Point 1. Open the MyCalyx installation e-mail. 2. Click the install Point installation link. 3. From the MyCalyx installation web page, insert a check into the box "I accept Calyx Sofware License Agreement...". 4. Click Install. Verify another instance of the installation is not already running 1. Restart the computer 2. Try the installation again 0540 Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation web page Delete the Internet Explorer configuration file 1. Close all web pages. 2. Go to My Computer. 3. Double-click Local Disk C: 4. Double-click the Program Files folder. 5. Double-click the Internet Explorer folder. 6. Right-click the iexplore.exe.config file and then select Delete. 7. Open your MyCalyx installation e-mail. 8. Click the install Point installation link. 9. From the MyCalyx installation web page, accept the license agreement and then click Install. Disable the firewall and antivirus then try installing Point again Reset Internet Explorer Security Settings 0540 Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation web page 1. Minimize Point. 2. Open Internet Explorer. 3. From the menu bar, select Tools > Internet Options. 4. In the Internet Options window, click the Security tab. 5. In the Security level for this zone section, click Reset All zones to default level. 6. Click the Connections tab. 7. At the bottom of the window, click the Lan Settings button. 8. From the (LAN) Settings window, un-check Use a proxy server... and then click OK. 0540 Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation web page 9. Click the Programs tab. 10. At the bottom of the window, check the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser box. (For Internet Explorer version 6, click Reset Web Settings.) 11. Click the Advanced tab, then click Restore Advanced Settings. 12. Click the Reset button. 13. When the settings have been reset, use the scroll bar to scroll to the bottom of the Settings list and check the Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0 checkbox. 14. Click OK. 15. Reinstall Point. 0540 Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation web page Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework and reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 1. Go to the Control Panel. 2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs 3. Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0/3.5, and Microsoft.NET Framework 4. 4. When the above Microsoft .Net applications have been removed, click here to download the Microsoft .NET Framework cleanup utility. 5. From the File Download and Internet Security window, select Run. 6. From the Installation window that asks if you want to run the utility and the License Agreement, click Yes. 0540 Nothing happens when you click the Install button from the MyCalyx installation web page 7. From the Installation Cleanup Utility, select .NET Framework (All Versions) from the Product to cleanup dropdown list. 8. Click Clean up Now. 9. Wait for the Current Status to change to "Setup has completed". 10. Click Exit and then restart the computer. 11. When the computer has restarted, click here to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. 12. Once Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is installed, please try installing Point from the MyCalyx installation e-mail again.
