April 2013 Page 1 The Frequency Field Day TARC Auction Well it’s that time of year again. Field Day is fast approaching. We still need a Chairman for Field Day. The Turlock Amateur Radio Club is holding an auction. Everyone is welcome to attend as well as auction any amateur radio related equipment. The next auction will be held on April 13, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Turlock. The doors will open at 8 AM and the auction will start at 9 AM. There will be a $5 dollar non-refundable fee to obtain a bidder’s paddle. More information is on their web site W6BXN.ORG As President I will be a Co-Chair and help out. The Chairman needs to be decided, preferably by this meeting in April. A lot of the decisions about Field Day will be discussed this meeting. If you have input or different ideas about location and/or activities for Field Day come to this meeting. I will be trying to get there early and sell some junk/treasure as a fund raiser for the LBARC. If you have some junk..., I mean treasure, that you wouldn’t mind getting rid of, get it to me and I’ll put in the box for the club. We did this a few years ago and it was quite successful. For those of you who have never been to this event, it is a great social event. If you wish to discuss the position of Field Day Chairman please contact me before the meeting. We do need a volunteer for the event to be held. See you all at the meeting. Mike, AD6AA Mike, AD6AA Fox Hunt Pictures By Phil, KC6JDL At the ready were...
