Please join me in welcoming Maricela Aguilar-Ochoa as
Director of Human Resources for Circus Circus Las Vegas.
In her role, Maricela will work closely with the VP of Human
Resources for planning and directing all aspects of the
property’s talent and human resources function, including
ensuring adherence to labor laws, regulations, and HR
corporate policies and procedures. Maricela will also assist
with building human resources strategies in alignment
with the business strategy to include: Talent Management,
Learning and Development, Employee Engagement,
Employee Relations, and other HR initiatives.

Maricela brings to her new role over 10 years of Human
Resources Management Experience with Four Seasons Hotels
and Resorts in Las Vegas, and most recently since 2013, was
the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Downtown
Grand Hotel and Casino, where she assisted with the property
opening and development of all Human Resources functions
and creation of the “Grand” Team Member Engagement
Culture.
Prior to her work in Human Resources, Maricela served for
over 20 years in Hospitality Operations in several leadership
roles with The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, including
Housekeeping Floor Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, Night
Audit Manager, and Room Service Assistant Manager.
Maricela also supported the opening of several properties in
multiple states, including Texas, California, and Missouri.
Maricela is originally from South Texas where she attended
San Angelo State University, and enjoys spending time with
her husband and four children. She is an avid sports fan, and
states that “I can talk sports with the best of them” while she
cheers on the Phoenix Suns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
