ACTIVITY OFFICE NOTES:
Good morning!
I would like to remind everyone that the
Activity Office functions solely on its own
funds that come from donations and money
raised by our activities. This is the reason
we charge for copies, room rentals, sewing
machine rentals, etc.
All donations are
greatly appreciated and put to good use to
help pay for the printing of this newsletter, the
bookkeeping expenses, and maintaining of
our two copiers. We could not function
without the generosity of the organizations
that contribute to this cause.
Thank you to everyone who contribute to
maintaining and the function of the Activity
Office.

MANAGER’S MOMENTS
HAPPY VALENTIN’S DAY
Yes folks January is almost over. Fellas, get out your wallets and buy those
flowers and candy and diamonds it is almost Valentine’s Day.
The park is jumping and so is the staff. We sure enjoy having you all here. Remember to sign in at the office even if you are just renting.
Renters: if the unit you are renting has a problem you MUST contact the owner
and then the owner can decide what they need to do to resolve the issue. If the
owner wants the management to contact someone to do the work they have to inform
us themselves not through you. This will insure proper control and payment.
Please do not feed the birds or any other wildlife. The food you put out for wildlife will also bring unwanted guests (vermin and varmints).
I want to thank everyone who complies with the rules in the park, it makes it so
much easier for all of us to live and get along together. This is still the best park in the
valley and you are still the best residents and neighbors. Jerry and I have been living
in the same space for 17 years and been managers 9 years going on 10 April 1 and
we still enjoy our employees and the residents. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
We are losing one of our most valued employees, Effie Oyler, known to you all
as the electric lady. She is retiring and will be missed by us all. She has been with us
for almost 9 years and has become my right hand, giving me opportunities to be out of
the park when needed. She has become a close friend as well. Enjoy your husband,
kids and grandkids Effie and come and visit often. Jeanie Elliot, who lives in the park,
is in training now and will take up the position when Effie leaves. Welcome Jeanie.
Jerry and Darlene McKinney, Mangers
IMPORTANT STUFF . . .
GOOD-BYE
Coyote Books
It is good to be back in Sunny Arizona. I will be
taking Linus Blankets the end of January and
the end of March. You can bring them to me at
374 Cactus. I also have some yarn here if you
would like some. Any questions come by or
call me 319-480-3132. Thank you for all you
do.
Good-bye to you all, I will be leaving the park at
the end of the season to spend time with my family. My husband works nights and with me on
days leaves very little time for us to be together.
Life is so short and seems to get shorter the older
we get. So it is time for me to say good-bye to all
of you and be home with my hubby and it will also
give me the opportunity to enjoy my grandchildren. I have enjoyed being a part of your lives for
the past nine years and will miss you all immensely. ~~ Effie

Stamps!!!!

items to (Rosie Portugal-Brastad), coordinator
and receive a new list at the end of the two
weeks. Here are some of the items needed:
Boys and Girls underwear, size 2-6, flip flops
for elementary school children grades K-6. Also
healthy nonperishable snack items such as granola bars, cheese snacks etc. Thank you in advance for helping these young school children
