Fruits
The size sorting machine can process small fruits with minimum diameter 18mm
and maximum diameter 45mm (cherry, plum, cherry tomato,…)
Architecture of a cherry packing installation
The minimal configuration, for a classical installation, is made up of a feeding
(and selecting) belt, a cluster separator (for cherry only), a grading machine, an
output inclined plane or a discharging belt and a final packing table. Many options
can complete the packing installation.
The architecture is flexible and depends on the customer requirement : sorting
before or after cluster separation, quality sorting before or after sizing.

The sizing system
The grading machine has several lines (from 2 to 10 lines in a same frame), each line
consists of the association of an endless screw (Archimède’s screw) and a long rigid tube.
This patented principle gets very good results, whatever the shape of the fruit.
The endless screw drives the fruit very gentle and makes it turn around. (the screw turns and
lift the fruit)

The fruit goes along, transported between the endless screw and the rigid tube, above the
grading space that increase gradually. When the grading space is equal to the size, the fruit
is discharged under the endless screws and exits on an output inclined plane or on a belt
that extracting fruits from the grading machine to the final size section.
If a higher capacity is required (for exemple 3 tons/hour), we can couple several machines in
parallel.
Specifications
Capacity : The capacity of the installation
depends on the number of lines (from 2 to 10
sizing lines in the same frame), the quality of
the feeding (regular and continous arrival of the
fruits, only one layer), the cluster separator
device system (by hand, whith a classical
cluster cutter, by an hydraulical separator..),
and of the kind of fruits (big or small). The
capacity in cherry can reach up to 100 kg/h/line.
Sizes outputs : 5 adjustables sizes.
Brumisation : The brumisation is necessary,
it’s improve the split of the fruit on materials.
The brumisation is adjustable by timer
(programation of the ‘on’ spray time, and
programation of the time between 2 sprays),
orientables nozzles, (water from the domestic
water network) with stop valve and filter.

Fruits exit
The fruit exit can be (according to the requirements of individual customers) : - on an output
inclined plane (economical solution, left picture), - or on a large discharging belt (right
picture), more gentle for the fruit because of a reduced drop height.
Adjustments
• Size sections adjustment :The size
sections are adjustable by moving the
output partitions along a millimeter
calibrated marking system.
• Global size adjusment : It’s possible to
change the final distance between endless
screws and fixed tubes, that allows to
adjust all the outputs bigger (or smaller).
• Speed adjustment : With frequency
inverter with mechanical moto-variador,
according the option.

Patented hydraulical cluster separator,
that separate cherry clusters at their
junction point, by water hydraulical
effect. This machine works with 500
liters recycled water, and it can be
associated to a refresh water system
(up & left picture). The separation is a
natural separation (same as if you do it
by hand). Less damage on the fruit than
with classical separators. This system
increase the life of the cherry after
separation.

Cherry cluster cutter, with several
blades and with a cutter regulator
device, that improve the cut. The
percentage of the cutted stems depends
on the number of the blades (down &
left picture).
Water dumping system with plastic
elevator. This device allows to empty big
quantity of cherry, and to glently and
regulary supply the packing line (down &
right picture).
Dry elevador belt (for other fruits)
Selecting belt with 2 laterals waste
corridors (standar belt or Intralox belt).
Large extracting belt.
Packing conveyor.
Rotary (rotating table) to accumulate and
pack the fruits (up & right picture).
