Nestled in the Aravali hills, the 18th century Devi Garh Fort Palace in
the village of Delwara, forms one of the three main passes into the
valley of Udaipur. Due to it’s strategic importance, the principality of
Delwara was awarded to Sajja Singh, who hailed from Gujarat, for
displaying his bravery and loyalty to Maharana Pratap of Mewar
against the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the battle of Haldighati (1576).
Since this was a time of continuous wars against the Mughal
invaders, the construction of the Fort Palace was only started in the
1760’s by Raghudev Singh II. Subsequent rulers made many
additions to the building, which was abandoned in the 1960’s
after the principality was merged into the state of Rajasthan.
Devi Garh, is now ready for visitors after years of restoration and
rebuilding. The Fort Palace was conceived as a place where the
past meets the future. This all suite luxury hotel comprising of 23
suites and 7 tents takes, on the look of modern India, with an
emphasis on design and detail, using local marbles and
semi-precious stones. The contemporary design showcased within
this spectacular heritage property, complemented by personalised
and intimate services, creates a new image of India for the
21st century.

DEVI GARH is located 28 km North East of Udaipur city, off the Udaipur-Delhi highway. The
approximate driving time from Udaipur airport is 45 minutes, a distance of 26km.
ACCOMMODATION. The hotel consists of 23 suites which have been individually designed and
styled. All the suites are more than 700 square feet in size, and include a separate sitting and dining
area while some also have dressing rooms and balconies. The Devi Garh suite along with a Private
Jacuzzi, shares a black marbles swimming pool and pavilion with the Pool Suite. The Duplex Suite
offers breathtaking views of lush green fields and mountains from both levels. The Palace Suites are
embellished with semi precious stones that reflect the colours of Rajasthan. The Garden Suites have
a private tented terrace overlooking a field of red flowers. Seven Shikar tents are also available on
request.

Guests can also enjoy intimate evenings at the Devi Garh Bar, a series of interconnected rooms
offering eclectic cocktails and music, board games inlayed onto tabletops and candle Iit charm.
There is also the option of 24 hour private dining in the comfort of the suite.

functions can be organized in the Durbar Hall or the numerous courtyards, terraces and gardens.
