About Polo Electrical
Polo Electrical was founded by Darryl Chetty,in 2005.
Located in Redhill, Durban, and continue’s to build
relationships based on trust.Partners Darryl Chetty, Emily
Chetty , Zain Rasool, Najma Rasool, are competent in
all dealings relating to projects requiring attention, and
together, with a productive and competent staff, they
are responsible, for successful electrical installation
projects and take pride in our adaptability and service to
our clients.. POLO ELECTRICAL ( Powerful Overcomers
Leaping Onwards ) has grown to be a dynamic business
and strives to conduct our business fairly and honestly
with consideration to the long term needs of our clients,
employees and suppliers.We are proudly BBBEE ( Broad
Based Black Economic Empowerment) Company.
The strength and growth of our Company relates to the
size of projects that we have successfully completed
in a period of time and the day to day running of our
competent maintenance teams.

Commercial, Industrial and Residential

business nationally. We have undertaken projects in Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal.

Ownership: Polo Electrical cc is 100% Black
Business Enterprise (BBE) and is classified as
a level 1 Contributor with 85% Black Women
Enterprise (BWE) who are actively involved in the
management and control of the business, thus
allowing us to flourish in the Construction Industry
as BWE.
Preferential Procurement / Purchasing Policy:
To support businesses / Enterprises owned
by previously disadavantaged people directing
our purchasing wherever possible. This is done
through a process that includes fairness, clarity,
cost- effectiveness and competitveness.
Employment Equity : Our Employment Equity
has added value to the B-BBBE legislation in that
currently equal employment oportunity exists
for previously HDI (Historically Disadavantaged
Individuals) taking into consideration skills and
ablities to perform is a primarly recommendation

engaged in employing person/s with disablities
in the office environment. Our current project is
to engaging persons with disablites from these
Organisations to train at our offices, basic skills
such as filing,switchboard operations,faxing/
emailing, which will develop

Leadership : Polo Electrical is actively involved
in Core skills Training or “ hands on training “ to
previously disadvantaged persons.Our Company
have already, and will continue to train,mentor and
provide guidance and opportunities to previously
disadvantaged persons to engage and grow in
leadership and managerial/ supervisory postions
enabling them to have a clear role of leadership
by managing and overseeing projects on site and
staff working under them.

Method Statement
1) Site Establishment
We would normally converse with the Main Contractor
as to where site office / storage containers are to be
positioned. Our liaison would normally be with the Main
Contractor.
2) Material Proceurement And Storage
Store in our possession – Store man
Dispatch to site
Records and documents
3) Commissioning
We test commission as per SABS 0142 and submit
Compliance Certificates and Manuals
4) Preparation Of As Built Documentation
We prepare as built drawing on completion of contract.
5) Quality Control
Our Contracts Manager supervisors the
installation on
an on going basis and ensures a proper
quality control is main- tained at all times.
6) Hand Over And Training Of Employer’s
Personnel
Polo Electrical trains Client’s staffs with the
safe and efficient use of the equipment
install.
7) 12 Month Maintenance Programme
We guarantee our labour and installation
for 12 months.

in 1950 to serve the interests of all employers in the Industry.
Associated member of the Electrical Contractors Associations (ECA).
The Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company Limited was established
as a mutual insurer in 1936 and on the introduction of the Workmen’s Compensation
Act 1941 was granted a licence to continue to transact work- men’s compensation
insurance for the building industry.
Its business operations are essentially confined to the insurance of employers against
their li- abilities under the Compensation for Occupa- tional Injuries and Diseases Act
1993.
