535 pair of eyeglasses made and 196
reading glasses provided to patients.
400 patients received vouchers for a
free eye exam and eyeglasses.
60 vision patients referred for more
intensive follow-up care.

to support the 2-day clinic program.
CURE NETWORK IMPACT:
Clinics held August 2011 (Chicago) and June 2012 (Grayslake)
In ten months, CURE Network provided more than $2.1 million
dollars worth of FREE care to individuals in the Chicago area.
Volunteers from over 20 states volunteered at the two clinic programs,
made allowable through Illinois House Bill 5744, the Good Samaritan
Law. CURE Network co-founder, Ken Nelson MD, worked to amend
the law to make this possible.
