The beautiful Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center building, designed by architect John Gaw Meem, opened its doors on April 20, 1936. The Fine Arts Center’s Permanent Collection displays works by American artists Richard Diebenkorn, Georgia O’Keeffe, Walt Kuhn and John Singer Sargent as well as a large collection of Hispanic and American Indian art.
