Join the Monroe County Historical Society for a grand Monroe County Bicentennial Event Remembering the Revolutionary War Sunday, September 25 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Schedule of Events 1:00 p.m. 1:45 p.m. 2:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m. 4:15 p.m. Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) --Honor Guard from Lewis & Clark chapter, General George Rogers Clark chapter & Long Knives chapter march, rifle salute and flag raising --Fife & Drum Corp playing music of the era --Kaskaskia Trail Chorus singing songs of the era --Presentation of Flags – each flag from the Revolutionary War era will be identified Kaskaskia Trail Chorus will sing songs of the era on the Bellefontaine House Porch Appearance by George Washington Appearance by Mrs. Moore at Moore’s Cabin Flag Burning Ceremony by Girl Scout Cadette Aimee Magliulo Ribbon Cutting of Boardwalk – Joe Busch Eagle Scout Project Bring the family to the Bellefontaine House for a fun, educational day featuring events and activities highlighting the Revolutionary War! The Bellefontaine House is located at 709 South Church Street in Waterloo. Snacks & refreshments provided by Daughters of the American Revolution and local brews provided by Hopskeller Brewing Co.
