REGIONAL AVAILABILITY
• Please refer to the map as a general guideline for InstaGreen®
Sedum Tile availability and appropriateness based on
regional and climatic conditions. Each project is unique, therefore
the appropriate selection of plants is critical to its success.
• A Hardy South mix is available and is specifically tailored to thrive
in the hot and humid climate of the southeastern United States.
• Please contact Hydrotech for specific recommendations.
INSTAGREEN SEDUM TILE CARE UPON DELIVERY
• Sedum Tile should be installed the day it arrives.
• Protect Sedum Tiles from weather extremes. Store them in the shade when it is hot, and if it’s cold or windy,
store them in a protected area where they can’t be damaged by frost.
• Never store Sedum Tiles in hot, enclosed storage areas.
• Sedum Tiles may remain in pallet shippers for up to two days. After that, they must be unpacked and exposed
to air and light, and they should be watered once every 2-3 days.
INSTALLING SEDUM TILE
• All Garden Roof® Assembly components should be in place, and LiteTop® growing media should be installed and
properly compacted prior to the delivery and installation of the InstaGreen Sedum Tile.
• Water the media thoroughly before planting in order to give the water time to infiltrate down into the media.
• Just before the vegetation is laid out, the media should be raked to even out any low or high areas and watered
again. The vegetation won’t root well if the media is uneven or dry.
• Starting in one corner, place the Sedum Tile and stagger the joints, making sure the mats have good contact
with the media. Rake as needed to eliminate low or high areas created by foot traffic.
• Edges of the Sedum Tile should fit snugly against the perimeter/edging and against each other.
• The mats are easily trimmed with a utility knife or heavy-duty shears. Trimmings should be used to fill in any
bare spots.
• Once installed water thoroughly.
• Sedum Tile may not be appropriate for high wind applications, contact Hydrotech for details.
COVERAGE WARRANTY*
• Hydrotech guarantees 90% coverage after the first and second years when part of a complete Garden Roof
Assembly.
• Hydrotech’s Maintenance Plan must be followed as part of warranty conditions.
• Rooftop access to sufficient water for irrigation is required, contact Hydrotech for details.
