Dimension lumber values taken from NDS Supplement - 2005 Design Values for Wood Construction (per 2006 IBC/IRC). Repetitive member and size factors have not been applied. (1) Bending value is multiplied by the depth factor, (12/d)1/9 where d = member depth [in]. (2) Tension value is multiplied by the length factor, (4/L)1/8 where L = member depth [ft]. Use L = 4 for members less than 4 ft long. (3) Southern yellow pine values listed for 2x10 sizes, see NDS Supplement - 2005 Design Values for Wood Construction for other truss chord sizes. Design values for all other products listed valid for all common truss chord sizes (1½" thick). Attic trusses — Girder trusses — High load applications Boise Cascade warrants its VERSA-LAM® TRUSS CHORD product to comply with our specifications shown above and to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Boise Cascade does not warrant the design or performance of trusses, which is the responsibility of the truss designer and corresponding truss design software.
