Rosary For Priests Every Thursday following
the 7:00pm Mass in the Main Church, several
parishioners gather together to pray the Rosary
for priests. Please consider joining them in
supporting our priests through Our Lady’s
Rosary.
PRAY THE ROSARY Please join fellow parishioners on
Mondays at 6:30pm during the months of May through
October to pray the Rosary for our nation, community
and respect for all human life. They meet at Our Lady’s
Grotto at the Considine Center. All are invited and
welcome to participate.
Baptismal Instruction Classes
Parents wishing to have their children baptized at Saint
Barnabas must attend one of the classes that are held
normally on the second and fourth Monday of each
month prior to arranging the child’s baptism. The classes
are held in the Elementary School Library at 8:00pm. No
registration necessary.
th
The next class for May will be conducted: Monday, May 26
SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING: Requirement for all
persons in contact with children
If you are a volunteer or a part-time worker who works
with children you are required to take Safer Places
Training otherwise you will not be allowed to take part in
the programs for which you have applied. This applies to
coaches, catechists, playgroup, cafeteria workers, scout
leaders, etc. Full time workers with children have stricter
requirements and should see their supervisor to make
arrangements for the appropriate training.
Safe Environment Training:
Date Thursday, June 5th
Location: St Barnabas Elementary School Library
Time: 7:30pm
The Parish Council is actively pursuing nominations
for 3 vacant positions. The Parish Council serves as an
advisory body to the Pastor. We are looking for
Individuals who want to contribute to the life of the parish
through the sacraments, religious education and other
varied ministries.
Please pick up a Nomination Form in the vestibule and
return the completed form to the rectory office. A member
of the parish council will be in contact with you.
Share your talents with the St. Barnabas Faith Community.
Baptisms are conducted every Sunday at 1:00pm in the Main Church
The parish now offers electronic support called ParishPay.
Parishioners have the opportunity to come to Mass without the worry of
the offertory envelope.
What is Parish Pay?
In lieu of weekly envelope collections, the ParishPay program will electronically collect monthly contributions from your
checking, savings, or credit card account. These funds will be withdrawn from your designated account on the 5th of each
month. If the 5th falls on a Saturday or Sunday the withdrawal will occur on the following business day. There is NO cost to
participate in this program.
What are the benefits?
Allows you to plan your giving, in the same way you budget your other financial commitments without the
weekly check.
You no longer have to be concerned about catching-up missed offertory donations when you miss a Mass
vacation, illness, etc.
You can easily adjust the amount of your automated contribution through the Rectory or via secure website
www.parishpay.com.

The world was a playground for Mickey,
a naive Irish American kid bored with
his life. His father served in World War
II, his brother was a Marine in Vietnam;
now it was his turn. His 365 days in
Vietnam builds in torment until an
attack on a bunker complex in Cambodia.
Wounded, his friend captured, he
becomes a tormented survivor knowing
he is always just a heartbeat from death.
