Since the time when Robert Bosch
first gained his patent for the magneto
and spark plug combination 113
years ago, the brand has continually
invested to ensure its spark plugs
meet the demands of modern
technology, increasing performance
and fuel economy.
“Intelligent” injection systems, like
the petrol direct injection system,
are not making it easy for the ignition
systems. If the peak pressures in the
combustion chamber are between
100 – 120 bar in case of normal
combustion, it can get as high as
250 bar in a modern turbo-engine.
The ignition voltage requirement also
increases due to the higher working
pressures. Bosch spark plugs not only
withstand this, but also ensure reliable
ignition of the air-fuel mixture at all
the operating points.

HERE IS HOW AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE COULD WORK FOR YOU
• Maximum cost to the workshop to re-gas a vehicle is £4.00, based on a full refill of 650g of R134A refrigerant plus oil and dye top up. (Few vehicles require a full refill, most will simply ‘top up’)
• Most VM’s recommend a re-gas every two years as part of the service schedule
• Minimal input required from the technician, typically 10 minutes. Simply connect the hoses, input the vehicle details and press “Start”
• Fully automatic machines will complete the whole service without further technician involvement, semi-automatic will simply prompt the user to open and close the taps
• Technician can carry on with the service / other work whilst the machine re-gasses the vehicle.

The KONFORT 720R is designed to recharge all
car, commercial, HGV and tractor air conditioning
systems. The KONFORT 720R is equipped with
automatic refrigerant recovery and recycling
and oil drainage functions. Quantities of oil and
UV tracer are controlled by an automatic valve
system. The operator therefore only has a few
simple tasks to carry out, such as manual hose
valve control. The 720R can be purchased
configured either for the old R134a refrigerant
or the new R1234yf refrigerant. A retrofit kit is
also available to change refrigerant type.

KONFORT 780R BI-GAS
KONFORT 760R
The KONFORT 780R is the top of the range service
station which is designed to deal with both refrigerant
types (R134a & R1234yf) simultaneously. The unit is
fully automatic and the information is clearly presented
on the colour display. An internal SD card records
all the service functions as well as containing the
vehicle database. Automatic Oil/UV management with
electronic bottle identification and hermetically sealed
containers prevents cross contamination of oils and
any moisture contamination of lubricants. The internal
tilt sensor ensures accurate refrigerant charging at all
times, whilst the automatic leak detection and complex
internal ventilation system ensures safe use with the
new refrigerant. These new features allow the units to
be compatible with Hybrid and Electric vehicles. The
accuracy of both the recovery and charge phases are
greatly increased to meet the latest OEM requirements. In
addition the oil and refrigerant management is accurately
controlled to prevent cross contamination at any point.
The KONFORT 760R has all the same features as
the 780R, but is designed as a single refrigerant
unit. A retrofit kit to change refrigerant type to
R1234yf in the future is available. This does not
update the unit to a bi-gas as with the Konfort 780.

The KONFORT 707R is TEXA’s latest recharge
and maintenance station for vehicle air conditioning
systems. It is designed and made for maximum

Though basic and easy to use, the KONFORT 707R

(DVSA) is changing the way MOT training is carried out.
