CAMP STAFF
Our sport camp staff has been chosen
from local athletes who have proven themselves in their technical excellence as well
as their ability to inspire boys and girls to
be winners through character development.

Wrestling, Soccer

than winning”
Our staff includes coaches who have led
state championship teams or have excelled in collegiate athletics or have proven
themselves as great youth coaches.
Throughout the summer we have invited
various guest clinicians who will provide
technical expertise as well as an inspiration testimony to the rest of our campers.
Each sport will have other instructors who
will be under the direction of the lead
coach for their sport. Each athlete will be
placed in a small group to focus on developing the character traits of a winner.
Each of these small groups will be led by
our assistant coaches.

We hope that MEGA sports camp will help
your son or daughter realize that being a
champion is more than winning.
Again this year we are offering the camp at
no cost. We do suggest a $30 donation,
but that is entirely up to you. Because we
believe in the message of this camp we
want all those who want to come to be
able to participate.

Camp Details
Character Based Sports Camp
By enrolling in the MEGA Sports Camp
at New Life Assembly of God boys and
girls will learn what it takes to break free
from the barriers that will keep them
from succeeding in sports and life. This
summer we will be offering for boys and
girls both soccer and basketball. We
will also be offering our girls only cheerleading camp. New this year we have
added a wrestling camp for boys only.
Time constraints limit our ability to thoroughly cover all aspects of the sports
offered. However, our staff will help athletes and future athletes develop and
practice new athletic skills, and provide
a biblical, Christian perspective on athletic competition which will instill true
character.

Instructional program designed to
introduce athletes to the basics of
each sport.
Limited camper-to-coach ratio.
Certain sports will be limited in
numbers.
Nightly drills, instruction and demonstrations.

Lots of fun.
MEGA sports camp will begin
Wednesday night July 12th and meet
each Wednesday night until August
30th
Registration opens each night at 6 PM
Instruction begins at 6:30 PM
Nutritious snacks offered each night
Suggested Camp donation—$30
Payment is not demanded
An optional t-shirt is available for $10.
Athletes will pick one sport to participate in. After a week or two, some
adjustments may be made.

Parents are invited to stay and observe
Athletes should have had a physical
examination by a family physician before attending camp. This is up to the
family to make sure this is done.
Registration
Athletes may register throughout the
camp. However t-shirts will only be provided for athletes who pre-register. Registration may be limited so each sport is
first come first served.
What to Bring
Each sport will have certain items that will
be required. Outside shoes will not be
allowed on the wrestling mats. Shin
guard and cleats are recommended from
soccer.
