PMAPS – Opening the Viewer 4 Rev: 10/19/2016 www.ProposalSoftware.com Wait for the page to refresh and display the Viewer Mode Standard (Recommended). Then, click Open the WebPro Viewer. No Message on Web Page – Newer Browsers Unable to view web pages properly in newer browsers If your PMAPS application has recently been updated, and the pages aren’t displaying properly, this may be due to stored browser cache memory. Your browser has a folder in which certain items that have been downloaded are stored for future use. Graphic images (such as buttons and icons), photos, and even entire web pages are examples of items which are saved or cached. When visiting a webpage, your browser checks if a copy of the files on the page is in its cache already. If so, it will save the visitor some downloading and make webpages load faster. Some browsers refer to their cache as Temporary Internet Files. There are some situations when bypassing your browser's cache is preferred. Just clicking the refresh button (or hitting F5) won't be sufficient in this case, because this reloads the webpage while still using the old files from the cache. You need to refresh your cache first! Click on the appropriate link below for instructions on refreshing your cache. Chrome Internet Explorer PMAPS – Opening the Viewer 5 Rev: 10/19/2016 www.ProposalSoftware.com No Message on Web Page – Older Browsers Unable to view web pages properly in older browsers For users on older versions of Internet Explorer, which are no longer supported by Microsfot (e.g., IE 9 and 10) who are not seeing the scroll bars on the search results, you may have to turn on, then off compatibility viewing mode to reset the IE. Compatibility Mode IE 9 In IE 9 there should be a broken document icon on the URL address bar (to the right of the address next to the Proposal Software Inc. [US] certificate name). Click the icon to turn on/off compatibility viewing mode for this site. The document is blue when it is turned on, white when turned off. Turn it on and wait for the page to refresh. Then, turn it back off (ensure the icon is not blue). Compatibility Mode IE 10 In IE 10 there is no icon to adjust compatibility viewing, you have to click on the Tools menu and then select the Compatibility View settings option. PMAPS – Opening the Viewer 6 Rev: 10/19/2016 www.ProposalSoftware.com Then, click the Add button to add pmapwebpro.com to be viewed in compatibility mode. Click Close and once the page refreshes go back in and remove pmapswebpro.com from compatibility view. Compatibility Mode IE 11 If users on IE 11, they simply need to ensure that the pmapswebpro.com site is not set in Compatibility View. No Message on Web Page – Refresh Cache Does Not Resolve Display Issues Unable to view web pages properly. Delete History If the URL is confirmed in all lowercase and you are still experiencing page display issues, you may also have to restore your IE settings to the default and delete your IE history.
