What’s New in Outfitting
By now, most of us have heard the Seakeeper promise of an almost roll-free boating experience; maybe some of us have even
experienced the gyro stabilized difference for
ourselves. However, up until now the gyro-experience was limited to those vessels in
the 50-65’ range since they were large enough
to accommodate the size and weight of a Seakeeper 9. All that has changed.
of power, or about half that of a common
hair dryer. Perhaps best of all, the price of
the new 3DC makes it attainable to a broad
range of boaters.
The small size of the 3DC means that
it fits almost anywhere. It can be installed
off centerline, below deck, above deck – really anywhere there is access to a structural
member of the vessel. Weighing in at less
than 800 pounds the
3DC can be refit into
almost every boat within its size range and

manually. The system eliminates cumbersome canvas handling and allows for unobstructed shade and freedom of movement.
Invented by boaters for boaters, SureShade has set a new standard for shade on
boats of all sizes and types. Thanks to its
ability to provide increased shade without
compromising a boat’s fish-ability, the system is being installed by leading center console and offshore fishing boat manufacturers.
Increasingly, the SureShade system can be
seen on sport boats, cabin and express cruisers, down-east style trawlers, motor yachts,
multi-hull power boats, and pontoon boats.
Even government and commercial vessels,
dive boats and charter fishing boats are opting for the Sureshade for those applications
when overhead shade protection, without
inhibiting framework, is desired.
If you want to get out of the sun in an
unobtrusive way, consider coming over to
the Shady Side of Boating. Stop into the
Service Center and inspect a working model

New Boats in the News!
The New Viking 80 Convertible
Over the decades, the Viking Yacht
Company has continued to provide a superior product in the boating market. Their
wide variety of semi-custom sport fishing
vessels have set the standard for competing
brands year after year. From their company
roots and values, through their state of the
art facility, down the production line to the
finished product, the “Viking difference” is
clearly apparent across every square inch of
each boat built.
Just recently, the company released their
newest model, the Viking 80 Convertible.
This sleek and exciting model provides the
best in genuine luxury, comfort, and design. Evenly balancing an abundance of
fishing deck space, guest accommodations,
and seating for entertainment, this build
provides a superior experience for any sport
fishing adventure.
The new Viking 80 will be available in
two styles, an open bridge and an enclosed
bridge design. The first Viking 80 Convertible to the market features an open flying
bridge helm which has been designed to provide the power at ones fingertips and a clear
360 degree view. For the captain, this model
has been outfitted with a custom navigation,
communication and entertainment package.
This advanced, but user friendly package,
provides today’s most up to date electronic
systems to monitor the entire vessel, what’s
ahead, and what is below while on the fishing grounds.
The bridge provides plenty of luxurious
seating to accommodate guests as well. Just
forward of the captain’s helm is a spacious
U-shaped lounge and table. Viking also provided space for a refrigerated box, freezer
and a freshwater sink. This forward seating
area is surrounded by two longer benches
on opposing sides of the helm station which
can double as rod locker stowage. While air
conditioning is available on the open flying
bridge, a climate controlled enclosed bridge

Jupiter Marine’s New 34LX Express
With over 35 years of boat building experience, the Jupiter Team is committed to
building the finest, most technologically advanced offshore sport fishing boats available
today. Every Jupiter is individually built to
the exacting specifications of the sportsman
who demands the very best in inshore and
offshore performance, styling and reliability.
Jupiter currently produces ten models of
boats. Ranging from the 26 Forward Seating
center console and now up to the 41 Sport
Bridge, Jupiter’s designs continue to catch
the attention of boaters globally. Jupiter’s
sleek designs and details have received so
much attention, they have even made it to
Power & Motor Yacht’s “Top 25 Prettiest
Boats” with their 32 Forward Seating Center
Console. This model has been their leading
design in which their entire line of Forward
Seating Center Consoles has been created
from.
To raise the bar even higher, they have
recently released a new mid-size design, the
new 34LX Express. The 34 LX is a hybrid
design to meet the needs of sport fishermen
and general boating enthusiast alike. This
model is perfect for those who need ample
stowage and deck space for a long, hard day
on the fishing grounds, yet offers plenty of
room to accommodate family and friends
for an afternoon of island hopping and adventures. No matter what the occasion, you
can guarantee a comfortable arrangement
of space and seating on this model. Virtually every square foot from the aft deck to
the helm station, and through the forward
cabin, Jupiter Marine provided the option
to transform this model to meet the owner’s
needs. With the capability of handling triple

South Jersey Yacht Sales
Winter Brokerage In-Water Showcase!
South Jersey Yacht Sales will again be holding its WINTER BROKERAGE IN-WATER SHOWCASE, an off-season sales promotion
for those who are serious about selling their sportfishing boats. Now
in its eighth year, this program is designed to provide a method by
which customers can Showcase their “for-sale” boats during the winter months, all in one special, heavily advertised location at Canyon
Club Resort Marina in Cape May, NJ.
The Showcase is essentially a winter long in-water boat show
that’s open every day! And it works! In past years, up to 50% of the
boats were sold during the Showcase or because of it!
If your boat is already for sale or you are considering putting it on
the market, this is a great opportunity. It will also solve your winter
storage problems!
The Showcase works like this...
We will market the Showcase through direct mailings, email
campaigns, select print media and various targeted internet outlets
throughout the winter, including a special Showcase presentation on
our website. If your boat is not sold during the winter, it will continue to be spotlighted for the duration of your listing agreement.
To participate, your boat must be included on South Jersey Yacht
Sales’ central listing, and you must locate your boat in the water at
Canyon Club Resort Marina for the winter (the marina is “Ice Eater”
equipped) at a discounted Showcase rate. Naturally, you are responsible for ensuring that your vessel is “inspection ready.” (We can put
you in contact with reputable boat cleaning services if you so desire.)
This is by far the best way to get your boat seen by potential buyers over the off-season!
If you’re interested, please contact one of our sales staff as soon
as possible as space is limited and “first-come-first-served” applies.
Put your boat in the Showcase and let’s get it sold!

with access from the salon and the mezzanine deck also is available. Additionally, the
enclosed bridge convertible can be ordered
with an open Sky Bridge.
The 216 square-foot cockpit is equipped
for tournament fishing with a transom door,
freezer, tackle, and general stowage space,
live well, fish wells, an ice chest and a chill
box for drinks. But some subtle touches
also show that the Viking team never stops
sweating the details to make things better.
The base of the cockpit compartments, for
example, are floating, which leaves room for
a toe kick for easier access when opening
the lids in a sea way. Another neat idea is
that the mezzanine gently folds outward at
each end making more foot space available
in the cockpit. Finally, the 80 Convertible is
prepped at the factory for the installation of
the M26 SeaKeeper gyro stabilizer, either on
the production line or at a later date.
Like all Vikings, the 80 Convertible is
manufactured to order and will provide its
owner with a one-of-a-kind sport fishing
yacht built and designed to fish and cruise
in luxury and safety anywhere in the world.
tainly get from point A to point B as quickly
and efficiently as possible.
Starting on the aft deck, the spacious
layout conceals several features necessary for
sport fisherman and pleasure boaters alike.
A pull out forward seating transom bench
provides additional seating for guests while
cruising. Directly opposing the bench, a
generous live-well tank is tucked underneath
the rear facing cockpit seats. Adjacent to the
live-well, a freshwater sink is available to ensure that bait covered hands don’t have far to
go while keeping the boat clean. The deck
space also contains several floor compartments for additional stowage or holding ice
to keep fresh an afternoons worth of caught
fish. Jupiter also added a port side boarding
door located safely away from the motors for
easy on and off access for swimmers or hauling in a big catch.
As you step up into the cockpit, the helm
is comfortably centered for a clear, unobstructed view of the surroundings. This
model features dual helm seating to enjoy
the view of what’s ahead. There is also an
L-shaped seating area forward of the helm

station for guests which doubles as additional rod storage or holding ice for food and
drinks. They also included a rod locker in
the port interior wall to keep rods clear on
the aft deck when necessary. There is also additional storage in the middle of both seating areas to tuck away tackle boxes or larger
life preserver bags.
Below deck, the V-Berth seating arrangement is brought together with a dining
table. This area can be easily transformed
into forward sleeping space. The galley includes a freshwater sink, refrigerator and a
microwave. Opposing the galley is a head
with an additional freshwater sink, shower,
and other essential stowage for toiletries. An
additional bunk is also comfortably tucked
mid ship, just inside the door. Comfortably
sleeping a crew of three, the cabin’s design
would make a great option for long distance
traveling or overnight trips offshore.
All in all, Jupiter’s 34LX Express certainly
has more to offer than what one could imagine for a midsized vessel. Ask one of the sales
staff at South Jersey Yacht Sales for more
details and pricing. This boat is definitely
worth a look!

New bulkhead lighting…
The new lighting recently installed along

GM Mike Weber, “That little bit of additional lighting improves visibility and makes
a great reference point for boats maneuvering during early morning departures and
night time arrivals.”

son of Paul Hoffman who runs the daily ship
store and marina operations at Canyon Club!
You’ll be seeing a lot of him at boat shows,

at both marinas. Welcome aboard Aaron!
