“Wire” is a chaise-longue that is characterised by its elegant and
transparant appareance. With its curvy shape and flexible back
it suspends your body at exactly the right places and enables you
to relax and drift away. Because the body structure and base are
in one this chaise is light in use and sight. “Wire” can be used for
outside as well as inside.
Met haar sierlijke en transparante verschijning is “Wire” een
karakteristieke chaise-longue. dankzij haar vorm vol curven
en flexibele rug ondersteund zij het lichaam op exact de juiste
plaatsen en laat zij je rusten en wegdromen. Omdat het zitvlak en
het frame een zijn is deze chaise licht in gebruik. “Wire” is geschikt

Winge / kast
“Winge” is a large standing cupboard with a hinge central in both
form and function. Due to its exceptional placing and unique
proportions the hinge creates new possibilities for the user. Open,
closed or with both doors to one side, the cupboard transforms
within its minimilism, and transcends its simple task to be an
architectual piece in its own right.
“Winge” is een grote staande kast waarbij het scharnier centraal
staat in zowel vorm als functie. Door de bijzondere plaatsing en
het unieke formaat creeert het scharnier nieuwe mogelijkheden
voor de gebruiker. Open, dicht of beide deuren naar 1 zijde, de kast
transformeert binnen de minimalistische vormentaal. Op deze
wijze ontstijgt deze kast haar eenvoudige taak tot een architectonisch op zichzelf staand ontwerp.

Plint / lamp
“Plint” is a minimal, yet elegant luminaire with an expandable
bamboo shade. By use of the flexible quality of bamboo the
interconnected parts can be opened and closed by hand. In this
way the shade functions as a mechanical dimmer, offering the
owner a possibility to change shape as well as light-production of
the luminaire.
The repetition of parts creates a spectacular view on the warm
glowing inside and gives an exciting display of shadows in the
environment.
“Plint” is een minimalistisch en elegant vormgegeven lamp met
een uittrekbare bamboe kap. De hele lampekap kan met de hand
geopend en gesloten worden dankzij de flexibiliteit van baboe.
Hierdoor functioneert de kap als mechanische dimmer, zij laat
immers meer of minder licht door, en biedt zij de eigenaar de
mogelijkheid de lamp in zowel vorm als licht-opbrengst naar haar
hand te zetten. De herhaling van de onderdelen resulteert in een
spectaculair ogende binnenzijde en zorgt voor een spannend
schaduwspel in de omgeving.

“Sfere” is a ceramic vase with a detachable lid. With its clear minimal shape it elegantly contrast the natural forms of the flowers
it contains. The lid has a pattern of holes that enables the user to
arrange the flowers in any way she or he likes.
By turning the lid inwards or outwards the vase changes in looks
together with the arrangement of flowers. For more information

Sfere is een vaas van keramiek met een losse deksel. Met haar
heldere ronde vorm contrasteert de vaas op elegante wijze met de
natuurlijke vormentaal van bloemen.
Dankzij het gatenpatroon in de deksel kan de gebruiker de bloemen helemaal naar wens schikken. Door de deksel naar binnen
of naar buiten te keren verandert zowel het uiterlijk van de vaas

several desktop sizes and can be equipped with 0 tot 12 drawers
that can be slotted into its beefy legs.
“Superdesk” is je partner bij je dagelijkse harde werk. Met zijn
grote bureaublad en sterke poten draagt hij met gemak je eeuwige
stapel van A4-tjes en multomappen en biedt hij nog alijd ruimte om

Lil’ decker / kinderstoel
This baby-chair is part of Prefabdesign, the furniture collection
with designs that are sold as a kit. All parts are kept together
by wooden connections. After all connectoins are cut the parts
can be painted. After this the little chair can be assemblied. By
the use of 2 screws and a bit of glue it can be fixed into one solid
chair. Because of the simple production-method, the chair can be
of low cost and there won’t be any sharp edges on the frame.Little
Decker is accompanied by a little table: Little Deck.
Deze kinderstoel maakt deel uit van Prefabdesign, een collectie
waarvan de meubels worden aangeboden als bouwpakket. Alle
onderdelen worden bijeengehouden door dunne houten verbindingen. Nadat deze zijn doorgezaagd, kunnen alle houten delen geschilderd worden. Hierna kan het stoeltje in elkaar gezet worden,
met 2 schroefjes en een beetje lijm is Little Decker klaar. Dankzij
de eenvoudige productietechniek kan Little Decker goedkoop
geproduceerd worden. Omdat de plaat aan beide kanten gefreesd
wordt kunnen scherpe randen aan het frame voorkomen worden
en kan het frame overal kindvriendelijk afgerond worden. Bij Little Decker hoort ook nog een tafeltje, namelijk Little Deck!

“Orbit-r” is based on exactly the same principle as the normal
“Orbit”. However with its round hands this clock tells a different
story. It still shows time dynamically but in a more minimalistic
graphic way. For everyone who had difficulties telling time from
“orbit”, here is your solution.
“Orbit-r” is op exact hetzelfde principe gebaseerd als de normale
“Orbit”. Hoewel voorzien van ronde wijzers toont deze klok nog
altijd de tijd op dynamische wijze echter op een meer grafisch
minimalistische wijze. Voor eenieder die moeilijkheden had om de
tijd te lezen van “Orbit” is hier de oplossing.

Prefabdesign is a furniture collection with designs that are sold
as a kit. Due to the wide range of chairs ( Decker ), tables ( Deck )
and cupboards ( Loader ) the costumer can choose between many
different designs. Because of the simple production-method, the
designs can be of low cost. Therefore Prefabdesign makes design
accessible to everyone, due to the wide range of furniture and
the fact that it can be self assembled, everyone can customize his
own furniture. Prefabdesign was my Graduation project at the
Design Academy. Goal of the project was to design for the masses,
to give people design that they can learn from for a low price and
to get them out of the grasp of massconsumption.
Prefabdesign is een collectie waarvan de meubels worden aangeboden als bouwpakket. Dankzij het aanbod van stoelen ( Decker
), tafels ( Deck ) en kasten ( Loader ) heeft de consument een uitgebreide keuze. De eenvoudige productietechniek zorgt ervoor dat
de serie goedkoop in massa geproduceerd kan worden. Op deze
manier is design beschikbaar voor iedereen, en kan men dankzij
het brede aanbod en “het zelf assembleren” de meubels zo maken
zoals hij wil.

Foyer-tables/ tafels
These tables are part of the interior design of the Foyer, a grand
cafe/art store. With their minimal, though classic lines they easily blend into the neoclassic interior of the theatre the Foyer is
situated in. Made out of solid oak wood both tables excel in purity
and simplicity. The round table, based on its oversized solid
turned oak leg is ,with its 160 cm in diameter, a luxury statement
that is used for presentation purposes. The small square table
with its light leg and small table top is more flexible in use and
serves the purpose of a side-table or a 2-person dinner table. Both
tables can be customised in height and width.
Deze tafels maken deel uit van het interieurontwerp van de Foyer,
een grand cafe / art-store. Met hun minimalistische, klassieke
lijnenspel vinden zij eenvoudig hun plek in het neo-klassieke
interieur van de stadsschouwburg waarin de Foyer gevestigd is.
Gemaakt van massief eikenhout zijn beide tafels zeer puur in hun
voorkomen. De ronde tafel, met als basis een zeer grote massief
gedraaide voet, is met haar 160 cm in diameter een statement in
luxe en kan gebruikt worden als presentatie/vergadertafel. De
kleine vierkante tafel, met zijn ranke massieve voet en kleine blad,
kan gebruikt worden als bijzettafel of 2-persoons tafel. Beide tafels
kunnen in zowel hoogte als breedte aangepast worden naar wens.

“R-series” is a set of outdoor furniture that consist of a table
“R112” and a chair “R56”. Both designs are constructed from a
bent tubular frame with wooden tabletop or seating. With its
characteristic lines the chair matches the shape of the table
and together they excel in comfort and enhance the pleasure of
outdoor living. Due to the use of high quality steel and wood the
“R-series” are resistant to all weather circumstances.
“R-series” is een set tuinmeubilair bestaande uit een tafel “R112”
en een stoel “R56”. Beide ontwerpen zijn geconstrueerd uit een
gebogen buizenframe en een houten tafelblad of zitting. Met zijn
karakteristieke lijnenspel vormt de stoel een eenheid met de tafel
en samen zorgen ze voor een zorgeloos genieten van de buitenlucht. Dankzij het gebruik van kwalitatief hoogstaand staal en
hout zijn de “R-series” weersbestendig.

“Loader” is part of the Prefabdesign furniture collection. Just like
the chair and table this cupboard is designed to be sold as a DIY
kit. The user can assembly it easily by the use of slot-in connections and a couple of screws. Because all pieces of the cupboard
are cnc-milled out of a minimal amount of plywood and because
the pieces are flat-packed, this cupboard can be low of cost and
takes the environment into account. Loader can be equipped with
2 drawers, the top-section is accessible by 2 sliding doors.
“Loader” is part of the Prefabdesign furniture collection. Just like
the chair and table this cupboard is designed to be sold as a DIY

of design. Dogma challenges designers to make a good product
within its set of rules. This chaise longue is part of a collection
garden-furniture that also consists of a table and a chair. The
entire collection is also available in impregnated wood, this material makes them color with the seasons.
De oorsprong van dit ontwerp komt voort uit een zelf gesteld
dogma.Dit dogma wordt gedefinieerd door een aantal regels. Het
doel ervan is het streven naar puurheid en persoonlijkheid in het
ontwerp met als uiteindelijk doel dat de producten de kunst van
het vormgeven tonen. Dogma daagt uit om binnen haar grenzen
tot een goed product te komen. Deze chaise longue maakt deel
uit van een complete tuinset die verder bestaat uit een stoel en
een tafel. De meubels zijn ook leverbaar in geïmpregneerd vuren
waardoor ze zullen meekleuren met de jaargetijden.

intriguing interplay of classic lines in upholstery and futuristic
shaped metal body. With its perfectly integrated cushioning

complements the lounge chair, ensures even greater comfort and
increases the range of uses.
“Stealth” is een unieke draaifauteuil met een karakteristiek samenspel van klassiek belijnde bekleding en futuristisch gevormde
stalen body. Met zijn perfect geintegreerde kussens en geruisloos
draaiende voet biedt deze stoel een zeer goede ontspannen zit.
“Stealth” is ook beschikbaar met ottoman, deze vormt een geheel
met de draaifauteuil en verzekert een nog groter comfort..

“Orbit” is a clock that is inspired by the earth orbiting the sun.
With its elliptical hands “Orbit” continuously changes its appearance
which results into an elegant display of time in hours, minutes
and seconds. On occasion “Orbit” provides you with a simple,
globe-shaped design but more often it is in a perpetual state
of flux.
“Orbit” is een klok geinspireerd op de baan van de aarde om de zon.
Met zijn ovale wijzers verandert deze klok van vorm en geeft hij
op elegante wijze de tijd weer in seconden, minuten en uren. Soms
lijkt “Orbit” een eenvoudig ovaal ontwerp, meestal echter is de klok
in een continue beweging dankzij het samenspel van de ovalen.

“Trilight” is a multi-functional lamp; due to its unique shape it
provides the customer with many types of lighting. Lying on the
floor with one or two legs, or hanging from the ceiling, “Trilight”
provides ambience in every surrounding. “Trilight” is rotational
molded from semi-transparent plastics which allow the lamp to
emit a mysterious glow and make it shockproof at the same time.
This product has already been produced in a series of 70.

“Trilight” is een multi-functionele lamp; dankzij haar unieke vorm
kan zij overal gebruikt worden en kan zij verschillende taken van
verlichting vervullen. Liggend op de vloer op één of twee poten,
of hangend aan het plafond brengt “Trilight” sfeer in elke omgeving. “Trilight” is rotatiegegoten van semitransparante kunstof
waardoor de lamp een mysterieuze gloed geeft en tegelijkertijd
shockproof is.

Triptich is a room divider that reveals its golden settings when
being exposed to light. The entire content is engraved in transparent pmma by hand, it represents a modern view on the ancient
themes heaven, earth and hell. The frame, hinges and legs are
made of nylon which creates a mystic occurrence. Triptich is part
of the OVERDOSE™ series of Buro Vormkrijgers. A collection in
which is experimented in excess, both in matter as in ornament.
Triptich is een drieluik dat haar inhoud alleen prijsgeeft onder
invloed van lichtval. In het transparante acrylaat zijn drie zelf ontworpen taferelen gegraveerd die van oudsher staan voor hemel,
aarde en hel. De omvattende lijst, de scharnieren en de poten zijn
gemaakt van nylon. Triptich maakt deel uit van de OVERDOSE™
series van Buro Vormkrijgers. Een collectie waarin wordt geëxperimenteerd met overdaad, zowel in materie als in ornament.

Mic / flexibele lamp
MIC is a flexible LED-powered lamp that can be adapted by its
user. Due to it’s variable size and its detachable legs it is very
flexible in use. Whether you are reading a book in the evening,
looking for some atmosphere or just want to find your matches
in the dark, MIC will be your loyal companion. The pmma-lens
creates bright light around MIC but also beams a certain amount
straight out so it can be used as a pocket-light. Because MIC is
battery powered and packed in a compact tube it is ideal to take
with you wherever you are going.
MIC is een flexibel LED-lampje dat aangepast kan worden in maat
en vorm. Dankzij zijn variabel maat en zijn telescoopvoetjes is MIC
zeer flexibel in gebruik. Wanneer je een boek wil lezen ‘s avonds,
of gewoon voor een beetje sfeer wil zorgen, MIC is hierin je trouwe
vriend. De pmma-lens creëert fel licht rond MIC maar straalt ook
een deel recht vooruit zodat dit lampje ook als zaklamp gebruikt
kan worden. Omdat MIC op batterijen werkt en zeer compact
ingepakt is kun je hem makkelijk op reis meenemen.
