Berkshire windows are expertly crafted for outstanding performance and advanced
energy savings. Their impressive build begins with a fusion-welded vinyl frame
and sash for increased rigidity and durability. An interlocking, steel-reinforced
meeting rail and heavy-duty, multi-chambered extrusions further add to their
structural integrity and strength, as well as security and insulation.
Superior thermal efficiency is achieved with an airtight, multi-wall design that traps
dead air to create an effective insulating barrier. Berkshire also utilizes special
multi-layer weatherstripping and a compression bulb seal, along with the PPG
Intercept® Warm-Edge Spacer System, to deliver year-round energy efficiency.
Designed with easy upkeep in mind, the solid vinyl construction won’t rot, split,
corrode or pit like painted wood windows and won’t swell or warp from exposure

Did you know that Revere vinyl replacement windows are
eco-friendly in several ways? Each window is precision-engineered
to deliver superior energy efficiency and help reduce the consumption of
fossil fuels for heating and cooling. And because they never need to be
painted, they also lessen the amount of paint, stain and other maintenancerelated products from entering the waste stream or polluting the air with
potentially harmful organic gasses. As a recyclable material, all in-plant scrap
vinyl is reused for other products (such as fencing and decking) to help reduce
the volume and environmental impact of waste. Vinyl windows also boast a long
service life and typically weigh less than other substrate window products,
requiring less energy consumption during transportation.**

HIGH-PERFORMANCE SPACER SYSTEM
The PPG Intercept Warm-Edge Spacer System features a unique, one-piece metal alloy, U-channel design that
creates a powerful thermal barrier to reduce conducted heat loss through the window. Its sealed construction
makes Intercept spacers stronger and better at retaining insulating gas than many conventional designs. Intercept
is nearly 25% more effective than a traditional metal spacer at the edge of the glass unit.

You might think of glass as being fragile, yet it is one of the most powerful elements in
achieving maximum thermal efficiency. Windows are 80% glass, so it’s important to
choose a glass package that will protect your home from absorbing outside heat in the
summer and losing indoor heat during the winter.
An exceptionally strong barrier, Berkshire windows are precision-built with a 7/8" insulating
glass unit utilizing double-strength glass. Upgrading your windows with optional Low-E
glass will further maximize energy savings. Low-E features a virtually clear, metallic
coating that acts as a thermal mirror to help keep solar heat out during the summer and
warm air in during the winter.

non-profit industry
organization that is
committed to providing accurate,
fair and reliable testing data to help
consumers, architects and builders
compare the energy performance of
window and door products. When

check the U-value and Solar Heat
Gain Coefficient (SHGC) data
provided on the NFRC label. The
U-value represents a window’s
resistance to heat loss, while the
SHGC indicates how well a window
might block the heat caused by
sunlight. The lower the U-value, the
