TOURS FROM ALGARVE
HALF DAY - LAGOS & SAGRES
Departure: Wednesday + Friday
A chance to wonder back in time to the era of the Portuguese Discoveries - In Lagos visit the golden
church of Saint Anthony and the first slave market of Europe. Ponta da Piedade - spectacular rock
formations. Sagres - beautiful unspoilt harbour, passing by the 15th century fortress. Visit the Cape
St.Vincent (the most southwesterly point of Europe), known as "The end of the World" and also time to
see the most powerful European lighthouse.
HALF DAY – SILVES & MONCHIQUE
Departure: Tuesday + Friday
A day involving History, Culture and Scenery. Silves - the old Moorish capital of the Algarve. Time to visit
the castle and the cathedral. Continuing through to Caldas - Old roman spar town with its rejuvenating
waters. Climbing the Monchique Mountains up to Foia, the highest point of Algarve (free wine tasting and
time for photos).
QUARTEIRA MARKET
Departure: Wednesday morning
This is a chance to spend some time in the bustling gypsy market and get the last minute bargains, as well
as visiting two other tourist resorts of the Algarve. Quarteira - quaint fishing village and the Marina of
Vilamoura - the largest in Europe.
LOULÉ MARKET
Departure: Saturday morning
A visit to this beautiful inland town to get involved with the locals at
the weekly markets. Plenty of free time to visit the Moorish castle,
browse around the quaint narrow shopping streets or hustle and
bustle with the locals in the Gypsy market. This is for those who love a
bargain!!!

FULL DAY TOUR HISTORICAL WEST ALGARVE
Departure: Tuesday + Thursday
A chance to visit the mountains and see some remains of its
Moorish and Roman existence.
Silves (the old Moorish Capital) castle and cathedral. Climb the
Monchique Mountains to Fóia - the highest point of the Algarve.
Free time for wine tasting and taking spectacular photos. We will
then make our way down to the mountains to our lunch stop. After
lunch (not included), we will journey over to the beautiful town of
Lagos - indoor slave market (the first in Europe), Saint Anthony's
golden church, fort and old town. Afterwards, we continue on to Cap Saint Vincent, the most southwesterly point of Europe, known as "the End of the World". Visit the strongest lighthouse in Europe,
Baleeira - beautiful fishing harbour and passing by the Fortaleza (home of Prince Henry's School of
Navigation).
FULL DAY TOUR BEST OF THE EAST ALGARVE
Departure: Wednesday
A visit to Faro, the capital of the Algarve province with its 13th century city centre. Then, we follow on to
the Moorish town of Olhão, a key town for fishing and its important fish market. Visit the attractive and
charming old town of Tavira with a 4th Century Roman Bridge and its many churches. Then on to Gilão
and Cacela Velha. Finally to Monte Gordo and Vila Real de Santo António, the border town with Spain,
separated by the generous mouth of the River Guadiana.
FULL DAY - LISBOA CITY TOUR & SHOPPING
Departure: Tuesday + Friday
While you are here in Portugal you cannot miss this wonderful
opportunity to visit our capital. We will enter Lisbon via the
impressive 25th Abril suspension bridge (with unbelievable views).
Our visits include - Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Monument of
the Discoveries, Alfama (old Jewish sector). Free time for shopping,
visiting St. Georges Castle or just wondering around this enchanting
city, followed by a visit to the site of the Expo'98. Return to the Algarve via the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the
longest in Europe.

FULL DAY TOUR FATIMA
Departure: Monday
We start our tour with a visit to the village of Aljustrel (site of the
Angel's well), where the shepherd children lived and grew up (see the
site of an Apparition in Valinhos). Free time to have lunch (not
included), shop and attend mass at the Basilica or at the Chapel of the
Apparitions in the Sanctuary of Fátima.
FULL DAY SEVILLE CITY TOUR & SHOPPING
Departures: Monday + Wednesday + Friday
A day not to be missed in the beautiful city of Seville, (capital of the
Andalusia region). Pass by the outstanding architecture of the 1929
Expo and the latest Expo site of 1992, the Macarena Basilica and the
typical Jewish Quarter. Stops at the Maria Luisa Park, American and
Spanish Squares. We also give you time to visit the shops, the largest
Gothic cathedral in the world and the Royal Alcazar palaces.
FULL DAY TOUR GIBRALTAR
Departure: Tuesday
Driving through the Spanish Andalucia region, passing the capital
Seville, towards Jerez de la Frontera (home of the famous sherry)
passing by the cotton fields onwards through the Route of the Bull.
On arrival, 5 hours free time for shopping and optional Rock Tour:
the Little Britain of the Spanish Coastline.

CONDITIONS BUDGET BY AVIS
– CAR RENTAL IN PORTUGAL
Hire dates which overlap seasons:
The first day of rental will determine the weekly payable rate.
One day is considered to be 24hours use, if 24hours is exceeded, an extra day will be charged.
Client’s credit card number is mandatory by car-hire Company to guarantee the fuel, the excess and the
tolls expenses (when applicable).
Prices include the respective days on unlimited mileage, LDW, airport pick up charge and taxes.
Pick-up or drop off at airport and train stations are free of charge. Service at the airport during ‘’out of
hours’’ operation, a surcharge of € 25 will be debited for each delivery or collection, to be paid by clients
directly to car-hire company.
Hours of operation at airports and stations - please check the list of locations and hours.
Delivery at hotels always remains ‘’on a request basis’’ and not available on Saturdays and Sundays in the
cities of Lisbon and Porto.
Free of charge in Portugal mainland if there is a Budget by Avis station 10km away
If stations are more than 10km away, delivery fees will be applied:
More than 10km - 21, 50 Euros + 2,15Euros/per km per pick up or drop-off
There is no charge of collection at hotels but the pick -up time is not guaranteed, therefore car returned in
city station or airport is recommended. Any damage or car parking fines remain entirely the clients’
responsibility.
Road tolls - Budget by Avis cars have a special device that clients can rent, at a daily cost of, 1,53€ per
day, for a maximum of, 15,30€ per rental. With this device, clients can pass all electric tolls and the non
electric ones (on the Via Verde lane). At the end, all the tolls will be charged on the client’s credit card.
CDW - Is included in the rates. This limits its liability for damage to the Budget by Avis vehicle, parts and
accessories, in case of accident, theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is operated in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental. All rentals are subject to an excess amount,
ranging from EUR 900.00 to EUR 7,500.00, depending on the type of vehicle for which the renter is
responsible, when an accident occurs or if a responsible third party cannot be identified.
The minimum excess may be reduced or cancelled by purchasing the SCDW coverage.

SCDW - Not included in the rates.
This coverage reduces the minimum excess charge in case of an accident or car theft, being mandatory the
full completion of the Accident Form (Declaração Amigável). In case of theft of the vehicle, the client needs
to present the police report and the car keys. This coverage is valid for customers from 19 years of age or
older and its subject to a:
Minimum SPCDW Excess Amount.
Maximum 21 days SPCDW charge per rental.
Groups A/B/C/O - 9,35€ per day (and reduces the excess to 96€)
Groups E/F/N - 10,33€ per day (and reduces the excess to 96€)
Groups L/G/I/K/P - 12,68€ per day (and reduces the excess to 96€)
Groups H/J/M - 20,65€ per day (and reduces the excess to 500€ on H/M groups and 550€ on J group)
After pick-up, clients are not entitled to any refund if the rental is interrupted because of the client’s wish.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE RATES AND ARE OPTIONAL.
PURCHASED BY CLIENTS AT DESTINATION, UPON PICK-UP OF CAR:
PAI - Personal Accident Insurance covers drivers in case of total and permanent disability or death.
Bagage & Personal effects. Costs +6€ per day.
Windscreen Damage Waiver - Provides protection against windscreen damage but does not include
headlights or tail lamps. Costs 1€ per day.
In case of an accident caused by the driver and taking into consideration the Portuguese law, insurance
companies decline any or all responsibility for that driver of all damages caused to the hired vehicle or to
third parties, whenever it is detected that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics,
drugs or toxic products or by insanity of the driver. Also if the client uses the car in sportive competitions,
races, rallies or challenges, contests, bets, etc.
Even if the car’s driver is not under the influence of any of the above items but by any means destroys the
car by his own will, we shall not refund any amount for the time left of the rental and we only give
another car through a large deposit that may cover eventual damages that can be caused to the new car.
We would like clients to be well informed of the above situation and the deductible in case of accident.
Management fee for process of claims - € 50
Administrative fee for management of judicial and extrajudicial claims - €30
Child seat baby (0-12 years) – € 8,75 per day, for a maximum of € 87,50 per rent, paid by client directly to
car-hire company.
GPS Navigator system - € 42,60 per 3 days rental, €55,70 per 4 to 7 days rental, € 68 Euros per 8 days
rental or more.

Additional drivers - there is a local charge of € 8,50 per driver, per day for a maximum of €42,50, paid
directly to car-hire company.
Roadside safety net - Avoid road problems at 2,80€ per day, for a maximum of 28€ rental.
This supplement covers:
- Key replacement - Get replacement keys or locksmith assistance.
- Lockout service - Gain entry when keys are locked inside the vehicle.
- Jump start - If your vehicle experiences battery failure, we'll provide a jump start.
- Flat tire assistance & replacement - We'll replace a flat or damaged tire with the spare, or get the car
towed to the nearest service facility.
- Fuel delivery - If you run out of gas, we'll deliver 3 gallons to your location.
Wi-fi system - Clients can buy a wi-fi device when picking up the car at an airport. This system works in
the Portugal mainland since there is signal. Cost of 5,25€ per day for a maximum of 52,50€ per rent, paid
by client directly to the car-hire company.
Ages between 18 (minimum 1 year driving license) and 24 years old, there is an additional fee of € 7,50
per day for a maximum of €75 payable to car-hire company
Young drivers can only rent the first 3 groups.
All presented rates exclude VAT (23% in Portugal mainland - subject to change)
ATTENTION: Flat tires are never covered.
