Platinum Sponsor Profile: KRC Rock In August of 1984 KRC Rock, (originally known as KOR-ROCK), revolutionized the landscape industry in Southern California with the introduction of a unique boulder delivery and placement system. The ability to deliver boulders to a jobsite and place them with an uncommon amount of accuracy and precision has opened new vistas to Introducing the JAIN Landscape Team The CLCA San Diego Chapter recently welcomed JAIN Landscape Products as a new member of the chapter. Now we’d like to introduce their support team. With a strong background in pumps, two-wire systems and irrigation design, there is not much in irrigation that Michael hasn’t encountered. Now operating in Southern California as a Territory Sales Manager with Jain Irrigation, Michael is applying his vast knowledge of conservation-based products and experience in product development to a region that is in dire need of water resource management. landscape architects, homeowners and landscape contractors. The opportunity to go to a supply yard and choose boulders of different sizes, colors and styles was also a new and exciting concept. As the trends in landscaping changed, the desire for a larger more available selection of natural stone was apparent. KRC Rock recognized this trend and continues to add new varieties of natural and manufactured stone to accommodate the discerning tastes of a more adventurous and creative customer base. Today you can rely on the longevity of the experienced and enthusiastic team at KRC Rock to bring you the best variety, selection, and inventory of natural stone available. You’ll find landscape boulder, various types of flagstones and tile— including slate, sandstone, quartzite, argillite, and schist—as well as a wide variety of pavers, building stone, thin veneer, river rock, beach pebbles, pond kits, one-of-a-kind stone fountains, and unique specialty stone, cleaners and sealers. With their specialized delivery capabilities and unparalleled service and free Do-It-Yourself classes, KRC will help you achieve your vision from the design stage to project completion. KRC Rock has been an active member and supporter of CLCA and the San Diego Chapter since joining in the late 1980’s. Draft conservation targets starting in March are between 8 percent and 29 percent for Water Authority member agencies, with a new aggregate regional conservation target of about 13 percent compared to 2013. The State Board’s revised wateruse regulation extends through October. Lowered conservation targets across the San Diego region allow residents and businesses to continue conserving water while gaining flexibility to irrigate trees deeply, replace lawns with WaterSmart landscapes, and preserve fire-safe buffers around homes near open spaces. More information about the state regulation, including a comparison of local agencies’ initial and revised conservation targets, is at www.sdcwa.org/state-boardregulations. •SB 3 passed and was signed by the governor. This bill affects mandatory paid sick days and the rate of minimum wage.
