Minimum impact use is in everybody’s best interest.
To achieve this, we recommend the following
practices:
Manchester State Forest
7640 Headquarters Road
Wedgefield, SC 29168
(803) 494-8196

Pack it in / pack it out

Stay on designated trails

Leave what you find

Respect private property

Use fire responsibly

Be considerate of fellow trail users

Wear bright colors during big game
hunting season, which is from the
middle of August through January
Mill Creek County Park
155 Haynsworth Street
Sumter, SC 29150
(803) 436-2248

Because of the trail’s proximity to Lake
Marion, some section of the trail may
be flooded during the wet season

Call Manchester State Forest for
information and dates about forest
closures during hunting seasons
Pack’s Landing: Turn to the west at Rimini
(the Sumter/Clarendon County line) off of
Camp Mac Boykin Road and proceed 1.4 miles
to parking.
Mill Creek County Park: From the junction of
US 378 and SC 261, travel 12.5 miles south to
Camp Mac Boykin Road (S-43-51). Take righthand fork (sign says to Rimini), travel 3 miles
and turn right on Millford Plantation Road (S43-808); travel .8 miles to Mill Creek County
Park. Parking is allowed in the day-use area.
