Goodbye Summer
NoiseMakers held is first concert on August 22, 2009
at the Catherine Hickman Theater in Gulfport, FL.
Gabe Whitney, NoiseMakers’ owner, opened the
show with John Prine’s, Dear Abby. Next, the kids
took the stage by storm. From Bob Marley to Chuck
Berry, from No Doubt to Green Day, from Miley Cyrus
to Queen, not to mention several original songs,
NoiseMakers’ kids were completely awesome!
“I looked back during one of the songs,” said Gabe.
“And the kids were swaying and singing along with
each other. Despite a few technical difficulties, it was
exactly what I was hoping for.”
We would like to thank everyone for helping make
this concert a success. The kids had a great time,
and the more we can get them up on the stage, the
more smiles we can make.
Special thanks to the Catherine Hickman Theater and
our roadies: Rudi, Mike, Jim, and Ken. You guys
rock!
Thanks also to all the parents for your encouraging
words and being a great audience.
Finally, thank you to NoiseMakers’ students and
rock campers. Words can’t describe how terrific
you all are. Don’t forget us when you make it to
the Grammy’s. You’re all rock stars as far as
we’re concerned.

Mom/Dad-And-Me Classes
(a.k.a. Punkertown)
Our Mom/Dad-and-Me classes are continuing to grow.
Every week several moms and dads come to NoiseMakers
with their young ones (6 months – 4 years old) to enjoy the
instruments, sing songs, and relax in our air-conditioned,
rock ‘n’ roll setting.
Punkertown classes cost $5 per family, and starting in
September we will be offering a Punkertown Pass, which
costs $40 and is good for ten classes. This pass can be
passed back and forth between friends, family, and the
occassional stranger. Check online at www.noisemakers.org for our new Fall Schedule. Some class times
have changed, and now there are additional days to pick
from.

Homemade Music
Ever wanted to make your own ukulele or guitar?
NoiseMakers can help. We will be having one
weekend class for families to come in and make
their own instrument. Paint it, stain it, design it
however you want. The cost will depend on what
instrument you make. The parts will be purchased
from Grizzly. There are many to choose from,
including ukuleles, acoustic guitars, jr. electric
guitars, and more.
If you’re interested in being a part of this class,
please contact Gabe at 727-345-7472 or via email
at [email protected]. The class time will be
posted online soon. Please note that the class will
only be held if there is enough interest.
