Board President Gerrit Ketelhut summed
up Ian McCain’s time as the student board
representative by saying, “If you look up
student board rep in the dictionary, there
would only be two words next to it, Ian
McCain.”
Ian started off very soft spoken at
meetings, but over his two years of sitting on
the board, he found his confidence and voice.
Ian gave his monthly comments to the board
and wasn’t afraid to mention his point of
view on issues in the district.
All the board members praised Ian for his
dedication and growth, some even got a little
teary eyed in their goodbyes. To make for a
fitting end to his time on the board, Mr.
Ketelhut switched seats with Ian to let him
close out May’s regular meeting.
We wish Ian, and all the graduating
seniors good luck in their future endeavors.
