(Ages 15 to Adult)
Madison Music Makers is a great place for children to express themselves using music and
movement. The class will help influence and develop your child’s ability to follow directions
and your child’s musical abilities. We will focus on basic music skills such as keeping
a steady beat, pitch matching, singing high and lows and fast and slows. Your child will
be exposed to a variety of music. We will sing songs in different meters and tonalities to
help further your child’s musical understanding. Your child will build self-confidence by
participating in activities that encourage following directions, such as singing, chanting, and
basic movement. We will sing and play with puppets, scarves, parachutes, beanbags, nonpitched percussion instruments, and much more. The curriculum will also include rhythm and
movement games, nursery rhymes, special holidays (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) songs about
the seasons, and lots of pretending! We have a fast paced class that is catered to your child’s
energy and attention span.
Come and explore music in a whole new way
with us! In our class we do singing, active
play, dance and we use our imaginations!
Rexburg Opera Group rehearses and
preforms opera scenes. These will
include arias, duets, trios, quartets, etc.
We will rehearse the scenes every week
with a performance of them with piano
accompaniment on December 15th. Ages
range from 15 to adults. Those who would
enjoy the experience of performing in opera
can call Kristine at 208-351-3213.
Tuition
Fall 2015 session will be 10 classes total. Tuition is an upfront fee of $60. One additional
sibling will receive a 50% discount at $30. Any sibling under the age of 18 months is free!

Rexburg Nordic Team
Youth Grades 7 - 12 Cross
Country Ski Team
The Rexburg Nordic Team provides opportunities for youth in grades 7-12 to learn a new sport
or continue developing as cross-country skiers through organized team practice. During team
practices, members will learn technique and develop endurance, regardless of their personal
experience levels. Both skate and classic techniques will be taught. Participants may also
have the option of competing in local and area community races (racers pay their own race
fees). This is a great way for youth to stay active during the winter months. On days with no
snow, we will hold dry-land practices at the Teton Lakes Golf Course. Coached by Steve
Barrus & Stephanie Hancock
No previous experience needed, all levels welcome. Dress warmly in layers with good gloves.
Skis can be stored on site and students may have the option of riding the bus to the golf
course for practice. Please check with the school district transportation department for
information.

The team has limited cross-country skis available for season use. Plan on providing your own
or contact BYU-Idaho’s ORC to reserve a set for the season, while supplies last. If you are
purchasing new skis, you may want to consider combination skis that allow for both classic
and skate technique.
