I took this picture awhile back of a customers “POP” blanket, by Tin Can Knits and thought I would show it off to you all in this newsletter, just in case you have not run across this pattern yet. I know it is summer, but this is worked in smaller squares, so not too warm sitting on your lap for a little while until it grows larger. Why not start it now for a gift, or how about the Tiny Owl Knits Beekeeper’s quilt blanket on the right, which you can knit up in your leftover sock yarns! Patterns available on Ravelry, or you can purchase with your yarns at the store! We met Debbie Bliss at the Northwest Needle Market! She was in Seattle to throw the 1st pitch at the Seattle Mariners game! Look for the pictures she said she will post on DebbieBlissFacebook of myself and daughters Lisa and Monique in some of her sample sweaters from her new pattern books coming. So cool to meet her and her designer daughter Nell - look out for Nell's first book of designs very soon! We also met up with Cat Bordhi who was also at the Market teaching classes, and she promises us a workshop in 2015 for her new upcoming book, name is a secret. Check out her latest published pattern book ARTOFFELFS available on her website, all proceeds being donated to a non chemotherapy cure for cancer, trials pending.
