EDITEUR DE DESIGN
French design manufacturer established in 2009, Petite Friture aims to
produce objects that create a spark,
designed by emerging talents.
With their complicity, Petite Friture
offer elegant and accessible objects
that in a simple and uninhibited manner tell a story ; objects that understand our daily life and invite us to
savour it.

GRILLO
The wall lamp Grillo by Elise Fouin is the
response to an exposed lightbulb on a wall.
Its simple perforated circular form diffuses,
defracts and dims the light much like a solar
eclipse. With its minimalist form and range
of colours it is easily incorporated into classic
and contemporary interiors.
VERTIGO
Movement, illusion, lightness, surprise. Vertigo by
Constance Guisset reduces space to an intimate
atmosphere. Graphic and transparent, this pendant
lamp comes to life when draughts make it slightly
lose its balance.
MINERA
The Minera jug by Studio Nocc
is inspired by a smooth pebble on
which crystals have aggregated.
The uneven side interrupts the flow
of the water, such as in a stream.
Minera is reminiscent of nature.
SEGMENT
Segment, stool by Marie Declerck, Amaury
Poudray and Rémi Bouhaniche, was born
by slicing a segment at a fifth of its length.
Once polished, this new side is an open window
at the heart of the object ; and shows the
sensitivity of a block.
9
NIJIMI
Nijimi, a set of cushions by Constance
Guisset, falls in line with the research on
colour and watercolour, initiated with the mirror
Francis. From a stream of soft and bright colour
pigments comes a cloud. An invitation to a hazy
dream on delicate percale. Dropping in a
colourful explosion.
FRANCIS
The Francis mirror by Constance Guisset
came from an experience : pigments vanishing
on water. The result is a bright oxidation.
Make up palette or ageing mirror ?
Exists as wall mirror and pocket mirror.
11
HOLLO
Simple, with only one material, these Hollo
tables and stools by Amandine Chhor and
Aïssa Logerot use industrial codes and give
priority to use and function.
IKEBANA
The Ikebana vases by Edward Robinson hint
at Japanese flower arrangement. The linear
slot at the top allows the user to place flowers
freely, in a continuous line or in strong forms.
GRANDISSANT
Grandissant by Jean-Charles Amey is a
candleholder that plays with the image of
a tree structure as singularity and seeks
by its modules to stimulate experience.
13
NUBILO
Nubilo by Constance Guisset, is a sofa composed
of soft, round cushions, that can easily be arranged
to ensure comfiness. Clouds, balloons, pebbles…
Nubilo becomes a dreamlike destination, a stepping
stone for our imagination.
CURIOSITY
Curiosity by Sam Baron introduces the surprising
emergence of figurative objects in our interior,
with humoristic reference to hunting trophies.
The whiteness of the ceramic gives the object
its modernity.
CROSS
Cross is a series of cushions by Petite Friture
about interlacing stripes and subtle colours,
printed on a percale cotton. The result is a
shimmering and acidulated pattern !
16
ECLIPSE
Eclipse by Constance Guisset is a clock where the
dial transforms as time changes. The hands mark
a visual rhythm, an optical illusion made from the white
circles which overlap and move. The time is always
visible whilst the clock is transforming.
MOIRE
Thought of as a garment, the Moire lamp
by Marc Sarrazin plays with the lampshade
typology to generate an elementary volume
that reveals different light qualities. It can be
hung from the ceiling or wall, or put on
a table or the floor.
DREI
The collection Drei by Milia Seyppel was inspired
by graphic art of the fifties. Three patterns in two
colours play with the interaction of simple, clear
geometric shapes.
BAMBOU
Inspired by nature, the salt and pepper set, Bambou
by Céline Frébault are like two branches set on
a table. Soft and round, their transparency reveals
their contents and once full, they appear stable.
JOIN
Join by Mark Braun, is a tableware with a beautiful
contrast between pure terracotta and coloured glazes.
All pieces are stackable. Functional and playful, Join
serves our needs and pleasure in everyday life.
LOOP
Loop by Amandine Chhor is about generating
new curves out of the constraints of the industrial
production of trolleys. The result is a poetic shelf,
ideal above a bed or a desk.
21
BUBBLE
LANTERNA
The Bubble hangers by Vaulot & Dyèvre are like soap
bubbles frozen forever. The stained glass aids this
transformation by bringing a whimsical dimension
to the object. The only anchor is in contact with the wall
where a solid fixing allows the hook to be hung simply.
From a simple lamp to the recollection of
a Chinese rounded lantern, Lanterna by
Sam Baron, is a family of different sized
pieces that pay homage to the electric
light that we all have at home. The golden
texture transforms the light, creates a warm
atmosphere and gives a special beauty
to your interior, your favorite objects and
intimacy.
ISO A - ISO B
From flat to volume and from volume to flat,
Iso by POOL plays with perspectives and
makes the surface useful through illusion.
The shadows become volumes and the
volumes become flat.
22
23
CANDLE TORCH
Candle Torch by Andreas Engesvik is a
functional candle holder with a touch of magic.
Due to its form the light is powerful and direct,
almost like that of a torch therefore the flame is
protected from drafts of air. Candle Torch works
as well as a light for outside, as in the kitchen
or in the bathroom.
TRAME
A frame that stretches along two main tracks, coming
together to create the seat and back. Taking its place both
interior and exterior the chair Trame by Amandine Chhor
and Aïssa Logerot plays with opposites, of lines and
tensions on curves all in softness, the perception
of comfort on a light structure, an air like appearance for
a solid chair.
MARKET
Market by Noé Duchaufour Lawrance is inspired
by wooden lattices that form market stalls. Market is
composed of a minimal structure which references the
archetype of a chair. A solid structure on which wooden
lattices on a cork base roll out to form the seat.
24
25
WILD CAR
FIG.1 ALIX THOMSEN
Wildcar by Pierre Favresse completes the
Wildthings collection initiated in 2012. Wildcar
acts as a moneybox and as an enigmatic
object in which the organic scaly form evokes
a universe that is at once familiar yet remote.
Between animal and object, Wildcar provides
a real sensory experience.
The bowls, with their flower pattern in primary colours, become
lively and tell a story. As with her fashion line Alix Thomsen
plays with nostalgia without a concept and yet with simplicity and
modernity. The irregularity of the pattern pays tribute to work done
by hand ; artisanal work becomes the flavour of the month.
FIG.1
PETITE FRITURE
DRAPÉE
Drapée by Constance Guisset, is a chair created
from steel wire. Its pure lines reproduce the fluid
movement of draping, sliding along the back of the
person seated much like a stole. Fine and delicate
it rests on two elongated feet that meet and join
to follow the contour of the seat as if to set it.
It is even stackable !
Petite Friture signs the first version
of bowl figure 1 with a message
in braille : « Boire du petit lait »
(which means : to be pleased).
With this typical French expression,
transcribed in a universal language,
Petite Friture highlights the reasons
that lead to create figures :
its attachment to material,
savoir-faire and echoes.
FIG. 1 ATYPYK
Atypyk pretends to be the graffiti artists
by imagining a bowl on the side of which
a painter is held up against the rim, staying
upright such as a balanced figure would,
in order to affix a more classical pattern,
that consists of a golden stripe.
27
OBJETS 2822
These black glass decanters by
Stéphane Villard & Gaëlle Gabillet
invite you to create your own products
or to use refillable objects.
The funnelled neck facilitates their
replenishment and the cap serves as
a dropper, for dosage and or distribution.
Every second in France, 2822 plastic
bottles are thrown away.
LESS
Less by Milia Seyppel is the ultimate reduction to
the essential. The body and the hands are in reverse
proportion to one another. In the simplest of manners
it tells us the time and becomes a picture on the wall.
WILD THINGS
Wildthings by Pierre Favresse offers a
fantastic sensory experience under the
innocent form of a container : feel what
could be a contact with inaccessible
animals that are extinct, dangerous, far
away, or even mythological. Wildthings
is both a functional and a dream object.
28
NARCISO
Narciso by ECAL / Giorgia Zanellato is a collection
of two vases which use mirror to draw attention
to the role of flowers. They are made of glass and
mirrored stainless steel.
FIG.2
SAM BARON
The ant prisoner of the glass
sphere suddenly tells a story ;
when the invisible become visible.
The paperweight by Sam Baron
blurs the relationship of scale and
puts emphasis on the setting
of the glass, on the ant captured
in the engraving.
30
31
VARIATIONS
From distilled water to a cluster of dots, this wallpaper
will have your head in the clouds. Storms that give way
to clear skies ; Variations is a wallpaper by Tiphaine
de Bodman that suggests dreams through a both
gradient and blurry pattern. It can be applied on a wall
in two different ways : from top to bottom or the other
way round.
BASIL
The wish to use the natural qualities of cork resulted
in the creation of Basil, a set of side tables by Arthur
Leitner. The steel structure sets in motion the metallic
aerial structure and the density of the cork tabletop.
The geometric shapes contribute to the simple
aesthetics of a piece which is stripped down to its
essentials.
RAY
Ray by Tomas Kral is a series of lamps in rolled sheet
metal. The mesh of Ray dresses the light bulb with
finesse and lightness. Normally destined for office
objects this material plays with light in the same way
as a delicate lace veil, allowing a diffused lighting.
GRAPH
Graph by Jens Fager alludes
to the graphic outline of a mill.
Made out of wood, it has a high
tactile and comfort feeling. The size
is studied to fit every hand and
setting in daily life. It could easily
be used at home close to the stove
or at the table, for either salt or
pepper or even spices.
FIELD
Field by Arnaud Lapierre is a lamp that combines
LED technology and a reflective undulated field.
It offers, beyond the function of lighting a usage
that is more dreamlike, favourable to the contemplation
of light becoming material, a lamp that diffuses
a graphic character.
35
ETOILE
Etoile by Claesson Koivisto Rune is above all
a lesson in geometry. In the shape, a pentagon,
a shape that is more structured than a circle, but still
blends all the others ; and in the pattern which is not
only a decorative element : it allows juice to escape
when chopping meat for example.
SWELL
Conceived for the office or at home, Swell, with its
interior wave, borrows its name from surfing jargon
to describe the perfect wave. It alludes to the ceramic
wave that characterizes the objects of the collection
by Luca Nichetto : the inside separator of the key
holder, the dial of the clock, the shape of the book-end.

and shape, this table or floor lamp

With fig.3 by Petite Friture
inaugurates a workshop on
canteen trays, a basic and nearly
iconic object that is part of our
daily life, sometimes since our
childhood.
Under Petite Friture’s pen,
the weft of the wood remains
in the background, covered by
a geometrical pattern.
FIG.3
Labyrinthe and Marbre are two
trays designed by POOL.
Labyrinthe is when the graphic
work of chiseling silver trays
meets a maze. Marbre is about
buried wood that through time
becomes a multicolor stone.
38
39
PETSTOOLS
Petstools by Hanna Ernsting, are not only stools,
but delightfully playful and cozy companions enhanced
with new aspects. You can put your feet up... or plunge
them into the soft material to warm them.
OTHERWISE EQUAL
Otherwise Equal by Thomas Jenkins is a family of
candle holders where mass takes priority over form.
Each item has an identical mass of 200 grams ;
each item only differs from the next in the material
used ; Aluminium, Inox and Brass. Their heights are
therefore a result of the density of the material.

Alongside the main collection, Petite Friture
launched in 2012 the figures collection.
The objective of this collection is to redesign usual
daily objects by casting a contemporary light upon
them. Petite Friture has chosen to focus on certain
iconic objects and to invite designers, and more
largely creators to think up and sign their personal
take on them.
