Our garage doors are impregnated with an environmentally-compapitble base stain and are
sealed at the bottom to prevent water absoption. We can base coat the doors for you but
leave the final finish to you so you can have it exactly as you want. Wood is a natural product
so it should be given a final coating with either suitable paint or a commercial, thin-layer, microporous stain system within 2 weeks of installation.
Differing methods of application and reaction to light as well as other environmental influences
can alter colours. Dark coats of paint should be avoided as continued exposure to direct sunlight can often lead to cracks appearing. Colour grain differences are a feature of real wood.
