RIVER FRONT CABIN-120 Rainbow Lane, High
RIVER FRONT CABIN-120 Rainbow Lane, High Valley Park 6, Packwood Tucked away near end of cul-de-sac, this cabin affords a special getaway offering terrific view of creek wandering out to Cowlitz River, and with a glance up a view of the mountain behind the trees. The unimproved lot provides a green buffer for kids to play, elk to bed or enhancing the peaceful atmosphere. Both lots border the Cowlitz River just beyond the creek and gravel bar, a scene that changes with every high water or flood. Although in flood zone, this cabin has not flooded (experienced any water in the cabin) in the entire 25 year ownership of this family. During floods or high water, water can flow onto the lots but per the owner not in any depth equal to the high concrete foundation. This is a super cabin for summertime or ski season-year round. It is a solidly built cabin offering a comfortable and easy floorplan for vacation use or fulltime living with large back deck for relaxing or BBQs. There are two bedrooms ~ master bedroom offers a walk-through closet to a full bath and also sliding glass door access to the deck. Guest bedroom is just off the hall near both the ¾ bath and utility area with washer/dryer. Linen closet and shelving above washer/dryer provides more storage. Open concept kitchen-dining-living room allows full enjoyment of views to the river at any time. Generous living room is flanked by a bank of windows viewing directly behind the cabin to the picnic spot or to watch elk grazing along the creek. A glass slider at corner of the room opens on the large back deck, while opposite is hall to front entry. Woodstove here warmly augments electric heaters. Dining space adjacent is comfortable open area by kitchen and pantry. The (retro) electric range and frig are in what owners call a “kitchen in progress” ready for new owners to create their own dream kitchen. It is great space-ample opportunity to create! Appliances staying with the cabin include: washer, dryer, electric range, refrigerator and woodstove. Only water damage was a pipe burst during winter 2013-owners were able to cleanup/repair with no residual damage. As a result, pex pipe replaced plumbing. New roof and cedar deck were completed by Contractor Bill Lowe. Owners recently did some interior painting, rescreened sliders, added trim, cleaned windows, decks gutters, etc. For 9494 US HWY 12 Randle WA 98377 Email: [email protected] SALE River Front Cabin 120 Rainbow lane High Valley Park 6 Packwood Wa Elk side view.
