Skills. The Number Lovin’ Oven is full of fun
surprises that nourish number sense. Little ones can
move the number slider to practice number recognition,
learn about cooking times (“5! This might come out
extra crispy!”) and temperature (“3—Medium. Medium is
a great choice.”). They are encouraged to cut food into
2, 3 or 4 equal pieces to build math skills, and they can
press the chef’s hat to learn and count along to lively
songs. In every case, the math is baked into a real-world
skill such as cooking and sharing—helping little ones
see how math transfers to everyday life.

With 16 ingredients and tons of fun features, the
Number Lovin’ Oven lets little ones explore in their
own unique way. Open and close the oven door to
activate responses about cooking and sharing. Fry an

down with the timer until it dings, and see the light

busy learning with the LeapFrog Build & Discover
Doghouse, designed just for toddlers ages 2 years and
up. The Build & Discover Doghouse is easy to take apart
and put back together using the 5 included tools and
playful guidance from puppy pal Scout. Counting, color
matching and more learning is built into songs, phrases
and build-along fun.
Curriculum that goes beyond core
skills. As children go to work on the Build & Discover
Doghouse, Scout talks and sings, introducing counting
and colors and encouraging children to explore each
tool. Scout encourages children to count nails with
him and to measure walls and windows. He also helps
children find the right tool for each job by naming and
matching colours; the red wrench fits the red bolt, and
so on. Children build with all 5 tools—a hammer, ruler,
saw, screwdriver and wrench —as they work on the 4
walls of the house, sawing, hammering and tightening
screws and bolts until each hinged wall is firmly in
place. Then, they add the roof for a job well done.
