All bed linen provided for 4 single beds, but if you need double pull-out bed in lounge, you need to bring
sheets, quilt covers and pillow covers for it. Please bring your own towels.

player, digital radio…..fold-out double bed for extra guests
Spacious main bedroom has stylish Bakare electric height-adjustable profiling bed with fold-away cot
sides and high risk pressure relief mattress. Lockable castors, so bed can move easily for carer access
both sides.…..Electric ceiling track & spare manual hoists…..monkey-pole…..one other bed, wardrobe,
drawers, over-bed table, wall-mounted flat TV with extra free-view channels.
Second bedroom with twin beds, TV with extra free-view channels.
Bathroom has wheel-in shower, accessible wash-basin, toilet with grab-rails.
Shower chair with full or horse-shoe cushion and removable commode pan
Kitchen has wheelchair-accessible gas cooker and sink, fridge / small freezer, microwave etc…..All
cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery.
5 Hawthorn Way is in a sheltered, spacious, quiet corner position.
3 spare chairs and large outdoor table on the caravan balcony with long countryside view, catches the sun all
day. Large lockable storage box for hoists, chairs etc when not in use. Caravan has landscaped gardens
around it, with adjacent parking for your vehicle on tarmac surface.
The Primrose Valley site is on cliff-tops. Shop, food take-aways, launderette, cash-point, boating and
fishing lake, childrens’ play areas, bars, restaurants. Fun-works passes available for access to swimming
pools and entertainment including bingo, competitions and cabaret, available day-time and evenings.
Location of Primrose Valley and surrounding areas
Primrose Valley is off the main Scarborough to Bridlington road about a mile south of Filey.
Filey is only 5-10 minutes by car. Attractive and well-kept small resort with plenty of shops, cafes, pubs,
restaurants. Beautiful wheelchair-accessible promenade and beach.
Scarborough, Bridlington 15-20 minutes drive away
Historic Castle Howard, York, Whitby 45, 60 and 70 minutes drive away respectively.

(Prices change when clocks go forward in March and back in October. Summer prices generally start 1 st
full week in May. Autumn prices generally start 1st full week in September. So, exact dates will be

IF YOU NEED HELP ON HOLIDAY FROM NURSES or CARERS or IF YOU NEED TO HIRE
WHEEL-CHAIRS, PLEASE ARRANGE THIS YOURSELF WELL IN ADVANCE, BEFORE YOUR
HOLIDAY.
Your district nurse should be able to organise reciprocal nursing care if you need it, by contacting Filey Medical
Practice on 01723 515881. Your social services may be able to organise reciprocal carer help on holiday
through Scarborough Social Services on 0845 9501555. Please ask us if you need a complete list of local care

For wheelchairs (manual or electric) or scooter hire, phone QUALITY LIFE MOBILITY LTD of
SCARBOROUGH on 01723 506030 Mon-Fri 9-5, Sat 9-2. You can arrange delivery and collection to and from
5 Hawthorn Way.
Dial A Ride bus service for wheelchairs can take you on pre-booked journeys between your caravan and
anywhere you want to go in Scarborough area.(If you think you’ll want to use this service, register 1 month
before your holiday by phoning 01723 354434)
DO YOU WANT FUNWORKS PASSES?
These are optional, but you will need them for entry to indoor leisure complexes (swimming pools, bingo,
cabaret etc). We will try to send you a registration form, so you can order them in advance, at least 7 days
before your holiday (£1 saving per person.). Cheques payable to Bourne Leisure, send with registration
form. Please ask us for prices as they vary, maximum of approx £100 to cover everybody. Or obtain passes by
taking yellow form to Primrose Valley office at any time during your stay. Passes are for 1 week or 3-4 days.
FINDING YOUR CARAVAN IS EASY
There are 2 entrances, north and south, to Primrose Valley (Postcode YO14 9RF) just off the main Scarborough
to Bridlington Road, about a mile south of Filey. Turn into the main entrance (twin red-brick towers and flags
flying). Drive down hill approx 100 yards. Turn right into HAWTHORN WAY!
MORE ABOUT YOUR CARAVAN
If you need hoists, please remember to bring your own sling.
Also, please remember to bring your own towels.
You should find the caravan clean and all bedding provided.
Instruction sheet for electric hi / lo Bakare bed should be on or in top drawer of bedside cabinet. If you need to,
you can move the Bakare bed on wheels which come out of legs at lowest position
If you need the pull-out bed under seats in lounge for extra sleeping accommodation, you will need to
provide your own linen ie: double-size sheets and quilt cover and pillow cases for this.
The storage box outside caravan is available to store bulky items when not in use:An Oxford hoist, a shower chair with full and horse-shoe cushion and commode, 3 folding chairs for use with
large table on balcony and a small portable ramp for you to take on outings.
