Do not winterize pool
until water is properly
balanced and is clear
of all algae growth,
dirt and leaves.
1 Stop chlorination 24
hours prior to winterization.

Water Test Strips are available
to ensure pH and alkalinity
levels are in balance.

If possible, allow pump to
circulate for at least one hour
to ensure that all chemicals
disperse evenly.

Lower water level and drain
lines, pump, filter, and heater of
all water according to manufacturer’s instructions. If you use
pool anti-freeze, add it to your
plumbing at this time.
2 Pour entire bottle of

Pool Magic Spring &
Fall + PHOSfree into
pool, making sure
product is evenly
distributed around
entire pool.

Cleaners remove dirt and debris
from the floor of your pool.
Doheny’s Water Warehouse®
Leaf Skimmers remove
floating leaves and debris from
the surface of your pool.
8 Cover pool with
a Winter Cover.

Note: If Spring is unusually warm, lift up one end
of the cover and look for signs of algae growth.
If detected, an additional dose of Doheny’s Water
Warehouse® Algaecide should be added.
9 In Spring, remove

4 Wait 15 minutes and
then slowly broadcast
all packages of

Warehouse® Chlorine

around the perimeter
of the pool.

Punch holes in all
9 dimples located
on both sides of
the floating
dispenser.
Slide on foam
collar onto dispenser
as shown. Place
floating dispenser
in pool, smallest
diameter down,
which allows water to flow
through perforated dimples.
Do not throw in pool.

Warehouse®. Then remove the cover,
reconnect all plumbing, raise water, and
discard winterizing floating dispenser.
