Welcome all,
Thanks for all your votes supporting our nomination by National Heritage
for an Angel Award, we find out soon so fingers crossed!
James Bond is playing from Friday 2nd November for two weeks. We started
selling tickets in early September and they’re going fast. Daniel Craig stars in his
third ‘Bond’ and is exceptional. Anticipation surrounding its release is massive.
Be first to see it at The Regal.
We are always learning and trying to improve things. So in October there are
second screenings of the weekend children’s films in the afternoons. We have
moved some weekday afternoon showings to 13.00 in order to try and avoid
hungry children at 2 o’clock. You could always eat in our coffee shop before
or after the film. Half term kids films will run every morning from Monday
29th October to Friday 2nd October.

Daniel Craig is back as Ian Fleming’s James
Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the
longest-running film franchise of all time. In
Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past
comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under
attack, 007 must track down and destroy the
threat, no matter how personal the cost.
It looks like Bond is back to his British
best with a stellar cast including Ralph Fiennes,
Judy Dench and Naomie Harris. Javier Bardem
is an exceptional villain. Come and see
for yourselves.
Five years ago, Led Zeppelin reformed to play their only set since they split
in 1980. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham’s son
were brilliant. The gig of a lifetime was described as; ‘triumphant’, ‘masterful’,
‘storming’. Over 20 million people tried to obtain tickets, just 20,000 were
lucky. The concert will be screened on Wednesday 17th October at 19:30
– its global premiere! And then again on Friday 19th October at 21:00
We have added two new live events to our calendar on the basis that
Missy Malone: A Night of Burlesque sold out way in advance. Adonis Cabaret
Show – Ladies Night Friday 30th November looks like great fun so come
and join in. It’s a great night out – tease not sleeze.
On 2nd October we have award-winning documentary film maker
Jerry Rothwell to introduce and Q+A our screening of Town of Runners
about Bekoji - a town in the Ethiopian highland which has produced
multiple world-beating distance runners.
