EXPERIENCE - Subdivisions
Geotechnical & Environmental Consulting Services
Since 2000, ParklandGEO has undertaken a wide range of services for residential and industrial
land development including geotechnical investigations, environmental studies, reclamation work,
pavement assessments, guidelines for developments near slope and construction
testing/monitoring services for pavements, earthworks and concrete surface improvement. The
projects that our company personnel have had experience with range from private to public
developers and have included working with local municipal, Provincial and Federal regulators. Past
land development project sites are located throughout Central and Northwest Alberta.
LAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Melcor Developments, Edmonton - Conducted detailed geotechnical investigations and construction monitoring for the
construction of over 12 buildings in the Blackmud Creek commercial office/retail development in south Edmonton.
Transamerica Developments - Fort Saskatchewan, AB - Conducted geotechnical investigations for industrial land and
heavy industrial roadway upgrades.
WSP (Genivar) - Various municipalities and counties, AB - Conducted numerous geotechnical investigations for
industrial and residential land development projects in Devon, Wabamun Lake, Falis, and others. Work has
included soils investigations for development recommendations, detailed top-of-bank setback studies, surveys and
geotechnical reports for ASPs.
City of Red Deer, AB - Various Clients - Geotechnical Investigations, Construction Monitoring and Testing, Slope Set
Back Studies, Phase 1 & 2 ESAs - We have worked on over 20 major residential subdivisions and over 10 major
industrial subdivisions since 2000 (over 4500 acres of development in total).
Town of Sylvan Lake, AB - Various Clients - Geotechnical Investigations, Construction Monitoring and Testing, Phase
1 & 2 ESAs - We have worked on five residential subdivisions and two major industrial subdivisions since 2000
(about 1000 acres of development).
Daytona Land and WSP, Brickyards Subdivision, Stony Plain, AB - Geotechnical investigations for residential land
development on land with very soft silty clay soils and significant peat deposits. Conducted construction QC
monitoring and provided engineering support throughout construction.
Creekside Subdivision, City of Camrose, AB - Geotechnical Investigation, Construction Monitoring and Testing, Phase
1 & 2 ESAs (100 acre residential development in total).
Town of Rocky Mountain House, AB - Geotechnical Investigations, Construction Monitoring and Testing, Slope Set Back
Studies, Phase 1 ESAs - We have worked on three major residential subdivisions since 2000 (about 400 acres
of development in total).

Studies, Phase 1 & 2 ESA’s, Private Sewage Studies - We have worked on over 50 rural residential subdivisions
since 2000.
City of Grande Prairie, AB -- Geotechnical Investigations, Phase 1 ESAs - We have worked on two 160 acre residential
subdivisions since 2007.
Voyageur Engineering, Joussard, AB - Geotechnical investigaiton on proposed residential subdivision for ASP near
Lesser Slave Lake in the MD of Big Lakes.
Other Alberta municipalities where ParklandGEO have performed geotechnical services for residential or industrial
subdivisions of all sizes include: the Town of Grande Cache, the County of Grande Prairie, Mountain View County,
