Day 01
Arrival at Fiumicino Airport, Rome.
Meeting with the tour leader and the private bus. Departure to Cerveteri.
Lunch at an excellent restaurant in Cerveteri.
In the afternoon, guided tour of the Etruscan Necropolis
of Cerveteri –La Banditaccia.
The Necropolis of Cerveteri - added to the UNESCO
World Heritage List in 2004 - constitutes an exceptional
Banditaccia
testimony of the ancient Etruscan civilization. The archeological area is situated on a volcanic cliff and it reaches the 400 hectares. It contains thousands of tombs
dating back to different periods, from the earliest 9th century to the latest 3rd century B.C.
Transfer to a 4 star hotel in Viterbo.
Dinner at the hotel.
Surrounded by walls, thermal and archeological areas,
Viterbo has very old origins. It has an interesting historical centre which dates back to the Middle Ages. It has
always been known as the City of the Pope: it was the
seat of Pope Alexander IV and it has been holding papal
elections for twenty-four years.

Day 02
After breakfast, departure with the tour leader to Tarquinia by private bus.
Meeting with a local guide and visit to the National Museum and to the Etruscan Necropolis of Tarquinia, also known as Monterozzi.
The painted tombs of the necropolis represent an un-equalled testimony of the
ancient Etruscan art – they constitute a unique example of the Etruscan wall
painting.

The frescoes - which date back to a period that
goes from the earliest 7th century B.C. to the latest 1st century B.C.- reflect
the flourishing nature of the pictorial art of that time. This great artistic and
historical heritage reveals aspects of the Etruscans’ everyday life. Nowadays
we know of a total of 200 frescoed tombs: 140 of these tombs are in Tarquinia.

The Necropolis of Tarquinia was added to the UNESCO World
Heritage List in 2004.

Day 03
After breakfast, departure with the tour leader to Sovana by private bus.
Sovana is a small but charming village crowned by a picturesque
surrounding which goes back in time.

It represents an extraordinary example of medieval city planning.
Between the 7th and the 3rd century B.C. it was a flourishing Etruscan centre – it has an interesting Etruscan
Necropolis with different kinds of tombs, such as the well-known Ildebranda Tomb built as a Greek temple. In
Roman time it was a municipium and in the 5th century it became an episcopal seat.
Meeting with a local guide and visit of the fascinating
Etruscan sites.
You will have the opportunity to walk through the Vie
Cave, Etruscan streets carved into the volcanic rock.
Lunch at an excellent restaurant of Sovana.
In the afternoon, departure for Pitigliano –enjoy the breathtaking view of the town. Situated on a large volcanic
cliff, you will hardly perceive the difference between the
houses and the rock below.
Pitigliano
Visit of the ancient village and of the Jewish quarter with its Synagogue. The town still preserves its ancient
aspect: by walking through the little streets, you will see remains from the Etruscan, Roman and Medieval
periods.
Departure to Viterbo.
Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay.
Day 04
After breakfast, departure with the tour leader to Sutri by private bus. Meeting with a local guide and guided
tour of Sutri.

Day 05
Sutri
After breakfast, meeting with a local guide and half-day
tour of Perugia -on the trail of the countless artistic treasures of the city.
Small lunch at the hotel.
Viterbo
In the afternoon, departure with the tour leader to Assisi by private
bus.
Meeting with a local guide and visit of the town.
Free time and dinner at your leisure in Assisi.
Arrival in Perugia at 10.00 pm. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06
After breakfast, departure with the tour leader to Todi by private bus.
Tour of the ancient town of Todi.
Perugia
Departure for the enchanting town of Orvieto. You will
have the opportunity to have lunch at a special place: the
wonderful Mancinelli Theatre. The Mancinelli Theatre is
the ancient town theatre. It dates back to the 18th century.
Enjoy a small lunch in the frescoed foyer followed by a
tour of the theatre.
After lunch, guided tour of Orvieto.
Arrival in Perugia at 8.00 pm. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 07
After breakfast, transfer with the tour leader to the airport by private bus.
On the way to the airport you will have the opportunity to stop in Panicale. Visit of the town.
Lunch at a wine firm with degustation session.
Arrival at Fiumicino airport at 7,00 pm.
