This year’s juror was Dianne Wright.
Juror Statement
What a privilege it was for me to serve as juror of the 116th Annual Exhibition by
Richmond and Area Artists at the Richmond Art Museum last evening. At a time
when public education is slashing budgets for Art education, it is so gratifying
to see the enthusiastic response of artists who choose to participate in this very
prestigious competition. The variety of work and skill level of the entrants is an encouragement to me
that art is not dead but alive and well in Richmond...still feeding the souls of
those of us fortunate enough to experience it. BRAVO!!
With humble appreciation,
Dianne Wright
Special Thanks
Special thanks to Bill and Marilyn Martus
for volunteering their time and expertise in hanging the exhibition!
