Céilí Mór / Fleadh Cheoil Fundraiser
Míle buíochas to everyone who attended the Céilí Mór last November and supported the first Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí fundraiser. It was a fantastic night with twenty sets on the dance floor. All the favourite sets were danced, the Sliabh Luachra,
Caledonian, Baile Bhúirne Jig, Cashel, Plain, Clare Lancers, Antrim Square and the céilí dance, Caidhp an Chúil Áird. Bhí an
oíche thar barr with superb music played by Tim Joe and Anne. Thanks to everyone involved in organising what was a very
successful céilí.

The branch was once again delighted to be part of the Trad for Trócaire campaign held in September. The proceeds from
the Set and Céilí class on September 29th were donated to Trócaire as part of this campaign. Míle buíochas to all dancers who donated generously on the night. The money raised amounted to €570.

Ann from Birmingham. Seisiún will be held again next July and August and we look forward to your continued support.
Community Spirit
A concert was held in St Joseph's Hospital, Mount Desert in November and was enjoyed by patients, staff and visitors

Comhghairdeas to Shane Scanlon, Meadhb Ní Shé and Kate Ní Shé who were successful at Ceol an Gheimhridh in

Culture Night
Oíche Amhránaíochta
The Keane sisters, Anne and Ruben were guest singers at a recent ‘Oíche Amhránaíochta’ in Oriel House Hotel. It was a relaxed
night of songs in Irish and English with an array of fine singers
and interested listeners. It was ably coordinated by Fear a’Tí Dick
Beamish who also was in fine voice on the night. A second singing night was scheduled for January 29th at 8:30 in Oriel House
with guest singer Nell Ní Chrónín, winner of Corn Uí Riada 2014.
