St. John’s Villa invites you to the
Return to Elegance Black &
White Auction Event to be held
March 22, 2014 at St. John’s
Auditorium, Canton, OH.
God works miracles for our family at St. John’s throughout the
year and this year’s event is yet
another one of those miracles.
The funds we raise through our
events allow us to continue much
needed programming as well as
provide quality service to all people served and their families. Our
future looks much brighter thanks
to the caring gifts of friends, family, board members, and several
foundations.
Rev. Ronald Klingler of St. John
the Baptist Parish and his parishioners in Canton have been extremely gracious over all these
years to host this event at their
parish center! The Villa greatly
enjoys this relationship, and is
grateful to the parish for allowing
us to again use this wonderful
space!
The Auction Committee, CoChaired by Susan DeChiara and
Missy Toothman will be working
at collecting items for the event.
All items are accepted. IF YOU
HAVE ANY ITEM/S THAT
NEED TO BE PICKED UP,
DON’T HESITATE TO CALL US.
WE ARE WILLING TO PICK UP
ANY ITEMS WITHIN A 75-MILE
RADIUS OF ST. JOHN’S.
Since so many of the Villa’s friends
live at a distance and would still like
to participate, we will once again be
selling tickets for a special drawing to
be held the night of the auction. The
drawing will provide three (3) prizes
one (1) of each at $500, $250, and
$100, respectively to be awarded to
the winners. Complete the form available on this page. If you choose to
purchase more than one ticket, and the
committee hopes you will, St. John’s
Villa staff will fill it out for you.
(Tickets will also be available the
night of the auction for purchase.
Winners need not be present for the
event.)
per ticket entitles the guest/s
to the sit down dinner and
submission of bids on items.
Please write or call for tickets.
Reservations are required. You won’t want to
miss out on the fun! Call
Susan DeChiara or Kim Bell

Gail has been a part of St. John’s family since 1969. She was nine
years old when she came and since then has grown to be a
wonderful lady who cares more for others than herself. Gail was
born to Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Schram in Oak Park, Illinois. Gail
has a very close relationship with her family. Her parents have
both since passed away but she remains a bright star in the eyes
of her two brothers Mark and Todd and their families. Each year
Gail travels to Chicago to spend a week with them for the
holidays and lots of shopping.
Gail has always been a mother figure to all her friends at
St. John’s and was always a huge help to the sisters in the past in
taking care of the kids who came to live at St. John’s Villa when it
was an orphanage. She has such a huge heart and when anyone is
sick you will see her literally tear up with concern and does not
stop worrying until she knows they are better.
On any given summer afternoon you will find her sitting on the
swing in the front yard of her home watching everyone go about their business. This is where she goes
for solace and peace and is her favorite thing to do on a clear sunny day. She also enjoys watching a
good movie or television show, cross-stitching, latch hooking or going out to anywhere.
Gail has overcome obstacles in her life that would bring others down and is now considered a true
survivor. She is such a strong person, heart and soul and through her eyes you see what it means to
truly care for others as she has done all of her life to those around her. To have a purpose and to feel
needed are the two most important things to Gail. We love her and are so blessed to call her family
here at St. John’s Villa.

A Beautiful Way To Remember Loved Ones
When someone loses a loved one, it is often impossible to know what to say.
A gift in memoriam to St. John’s Villa can be a beautiful way to express your condolences. Not only do you
show that you care, but your donation will have a direct and positive effect
on the individuals with disabilities served by St. John’s.
The Villa has a nice array of lovely memorial, sympathy, and get well cards.
Call Susan DeChiara at 330-627-9789 for more information.
