Use 1/4" seam allowances unless stated otherwise. NOTE: B2 = Fabric 2 cut B A 1. Applique the faces to the pumpkins using your favorite technique. Trim the squares to 6-1/2" x 6-1/2". Repeat for a total of 4 different pumpkins. B 2. Mark the wrong side of each B square with a white or silver pencil once diagonally. 7. Sew a F strip to the short sides of the table runner. Press toward pumpkins. Sew a G strip to each long side of the table runner. Press toward pumpkins. G F 8. Sew the H strips as shown below. Press. 3. Sew a B square to each corner of the A squares. Sew directly on the marked lines. Cut away the excess fabric leaving an 1/4" seam allowance. Press the seams in the direction indicated by the arrow. H 9. Center and sew the short H strip combinations to the short ends of the table runner. Press away from the H strips. Trim excess fabric even with the G strips. Fold 1/4" Fold 3/4" 5. Fold Fold in Half Trim Center Strips Fold Cover Fold Trim Center Strips C7 Fold Fold 4. Fold the C strips to the center. Fold in half lengthwise. Trim Trim 10. Center and sew the long H strip combinations to the long sides of the table runner. Press away from the H strips. Trim excess. Pin a C loop to the top center edge of each pumpkin block. Sew a D to the top of each pumpkin. Press. Trim D H Center Strips Trim Center Strips Trim C 6. Sew pumpkin to pumpkin connecting with an E strip and rotating every other pumpkin 180°. Press toward the pumpkins. Trim 11. Sew the cornerstones ( J) to the ends of the K strips. Press toward J. E J 2 K 12. Sew the I strips to the short ends of the table runner. Press J away from I. 13. Sew the J/K/J strips to the long sides of the table runner. Press away from K. K I 14. Layer the backing (wrong side up), batting and pieced top (right side up) together. Baste layers. 15. Quilt as desired. Trim the layers even with the pieced top. 16. Bind the edges using a 3/8" seam allowance. Pumpkin Face Appliques Templates Shapes are finished size. Add seam allowances if hand appliqueing. Finished Block Outline Applique then trim to this line.
