FOLLOW-UP TO THE WINSLOW FLY-IN & CAR SHOW
The Winslow Fly-in was held July 26 at the Winslow Lindbergh Airport. While not a great
car show with only 10 cars presented and no remarkable aircraft available, the oral presentations and static display boards explaining the history of the airport and the beginning of
“trans continental” mail and passenger service were very well done. And the breakfast
wasn’t bad. Of the ten cars which showed up, three were fellow cub member’s rides with
Randy Travis with his Cadilac, Bob & Maggie Bortree with their Chevrolet, and Jerry
McGlothin with his Italia.
