WiNTEr 2012 boston Successful Boston Power of 10 Event Raises $190K In the heart of Boston’s Copley Square on the night of October 24, 2011, over 300 of the city’s current and future leaders gathered for Posse Boston’s third annual Power of 10 event. This unforgettable celebration showcased Posse Boston’s innovative program, dedicated supporters, and growing alumni community. THE IMPACT OF THE POSSE FOUNDATION ON ITS SCHOLARS AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY WAS SEEN, FELT AND HEARD posse boston winter 2012 Among the distinguished guests were First Lady of Massachusetts Diane Patrick, the 2010 Power of 10 honoree, and Massachusetts Treasurer Steven Grossman. Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial and Posse National Board Chair Jeff Ubben also attended the celebration. This year’s event honored community leader and Posse champion John G. White, managing director, head of Capital Markets, Boston at Barclays Capital, for his invaluable support of The Posse Foundation and continued investments in the success of Posse Scholars and alumni. Boston alumni representative Hector Acevedo, Hamilton Posse 4, presented John with the Power of 10 award and Alumni award winners Sara Hessasta and Chris Knight flank Power of 10 Honoree John White. Boston Advisory Board Chair Paul Selian presented him with a citation from Senator Scott Brown, who John coached as head basketball coach at Tufts University. Another special element of the night was the presentation of the annual alumni RIGHT : (from left) Linda Tilton Gibson, executive vice president, COO and head of affiliate management at Old Mutual Asset Management with Posse Board Chair Jeffrey Ubben and other members of the Old Mutual team.
