Ivy League Day Camp From Your Directors
Volume 2011
Issue 3
From Your Directors
This week many new campers and our littlest Preppys arrived all with
happy faces,
Our Grads and C.A.P.s traveled to Liberty Science Center, Great
Adventure, Point Pleasant and Spiderman on Broadway – really cool
places!
For Seasons week we had an ice luge for Winter in July, Home Run
Derby for spring and celebrated Halloween,
We also introduced a new Ropes Course activity – The Flying Squirrel,
in between!
Everyone flashed their biggest and brightest Ivy League smiles on
Picture Day,
Week 3 – “Wacked Out Sports” Week is on its way!

Lower Division
Columbia Group
Week 2 was nice-n-hot,
But at ILDC we didn't stop.
The campers had a blast at the Ice Luge Run,
ILDC is always great and always fun.
Photo Day went really great,
And at weeks end our Halloween was first rate.
Here‟s a peek at week 3 -> Wacked Out Sports Week,
Favorite Team Shirt, Middle Trip to Jerz Jump,
Gaminride, Upper Boys Bowling,
Battle of the Pokemons, Yo Gabba Gabbas,
and Scooby Doos.
Ivy League means Big League fun,
And in the Lower Division the Columbia boys are number one.
We love cooking and swimming, the splash park is great,
With bumper boats and go-carts, there's nothing to hate!
Home-runs at wiffleball, we love the arcade,
Slam dunking at basketball, we have it made.
Zachary, Tyler and Sloan are some of our athletic MVPs,
When it comes to dancing or singing Jacob R. and Noah are
stars to see!
In the pool Ryan and Jacob S. can swim like a fish,
At basketball, Spencer and Jake B. make every shot a swish!
On the go-carts you can find Shane and Luke peddling so fast,
And on the bumper boats Brandon, Mike and Andrew
always have a blast.
We are a team of 14, standing strong,
With Blake on his way, we can't go wrong!
Columbia counselors are some of Ivy League's best,
So putting your kids in our care should leave little unrest.
Erica, Mike, Zach and LIT Robert lead this wonderful group,
And on Tuesdays and Thursdays Mariah helps guide our troupe.
We look forward to all the fun and more,
Walk around camp and you‟ll hear Columbia ROAR!!
Janice Ventre
Mini Day Division
Preppy’s first week was lots of fun,
They had fun swimming and playing in the sun.
Arts and Crafts was a big hit with Jake C. and Ben,
We can‟t wait to do it again.
Jake P., Nathan and Angelina had a blast in the pool,
They think the new Splash Park is really cool.
In M & M they sang and wiggled,
Nikolas and Ethan laughed and giggled.
Imaginarium is where Jacob and Abigail
love to pretend,
The Preppy’s are all becoming great friends.
GradG-1
Summer is already flying by and G-1 is having the best summer
ever!! We love going on all of our trips. Gabby, Margo and
Mariana had a blast at Monster Mini Golf. Victoria and
Samantha loved getting strikes when we went bowling.
The Liberty Science Center was so much fun and Mary, Lindsey
and Amanda loved finding their way through the touch tunnel.
When we're in camp Jess, Janelle, and Skylar compete in
soccer, while Jackie and Teresa are being creative in model
making. Grace and Chloe love practicing for the play. Alexa
and Hannah had a great time playing basketball against the
boys.
Justin Schmid
Athletic Director
Week of the Seasons was such a thrill! The athletic staff showed
off their BIG mouths by winning the winter ice cream eating
contest! The “summer winds” helped blow balls out of the park
during the home run derby. We are all excited for the tribal war
next week. What kid sensation will win, the Yo Gaba Gaba‟s,
Scooby Doo‟s, or the Pokemon? Gotta catch „em all!
CAPs Division
Boys and Girls
It may have been a four day holiday week, but it felt like a five
star celebration in CAPs. The CAPs spent Tuesday having a
delightful breakfast before departing for the Big Screen in
Freehold. At the movies our campers enjoyed Cars 2,
Monte Carlo, and the ever exciting Transformers 3. All the
movies were outdone the next day as we embarked to Foxwoods
Theater in New York to see the spectacle Spiderman.
The Broadway effects were dazzling as Spiderman even
flew up to the balcony a couple of times.
Pre-School Division

We are in Pre-School yes we are,
Penn is our group, the best by far!

Orange bands the 2nd week were earned,
Nicholas and Alex showed what they've learned!
Playing "Blue Bird" in Sports Games is so much fun,
Zachary, Jeremy, Sean, and Justin skip, sing, and run!
Ropes is where we do zip line,
Evan W. and Isaac fly really fine!
Cooking is a favorite for all,
Max and Christian eat and have a ball!
Kickball we also love,
Truden and Evan Z. kick far and above.

We have the best group Ivy League has ever found!
During the first 2 weeks of camp,
Radcliffe has had Big League Fun,
Whether it was playing sports or swimming under the sun.
