Consider placing your ad in this very popular visitors magazine and only pay once for a full year’s advertising! Advertising sales will begin in January, but we want to give you plenty of time to plan how to effectively spend your advertising dollars in 2014. We’ve included a sample of last year’s Columbia River Gorge magazine which has received rave reviews from visitors, as well as the Gorge community and businesses. Below are just a few of the many responses we’ve received from visitors and distributors. “Hello! My name is Cindy Cartwright and this past weekend while visiting Multnomah Falls, I picked up a copy of the magazine Columbia River Gorge// Two States, Two Volcanoes & One Big River. It is an exceptional magazine and an excellent read as I sipped my morning cup of tea. Thank you for making such a delightful and informative magazine. I wished I had picked up two copies so that I could send one to my family in Texas. I think this magazine is a perfect enticement for getting them to visit our beautiful area of the world. This magazine, more than any other, has a perfect blend of activities and events that will help individuals with various interests find something to do in such a beautiful place like the Columbia River Gorge. I could go on and on about how much I like this magazine!” Sincerely, Cynthia Amezquita Cartwright “The Columbia River Gorge visitor guide for 2013 is such a popular guide— it flies off the shelves! We put the guide out at night for visitors who come to our center after hours and we usually have only two or three left each morning. So many people are driving through the Columbia Gorge and this guide is a great way for people to explore both the Oregon and the Washington sides of the Gorge. We have reordered the guides at least three times this tourism season!” Karen Hutchinson-Talaski, Executive Director Umatilla Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center “Just wanted to congratulate you on the beautiful magazine you put out. I just read it and enjoyed it a lot. Very informative. Beautiful pictures. Fishing, hiking, kiteboarding, sailing, etc. You name it and you got it covered. Great job!” Astrid, Wind Mt. Resort “Every day we have campers visiting the Gorge who don’t realize how much there is to do here. Handing out this magazine has given them a wider scope of activities and sights to see which has encouraged our campers to extend their stays at our RV park & campground. This is a well-designed magazine that we’re glad to have!” Daniel Hopkins Bridge RV Park & Campground “I received a copy of the Columbia River Gorge magazine while I was volunteering at the Vista House in May. I was truly impressed with all the events covered for the year. It is easy to read and extremely helpful in planning what you want to do. We are handing it out here in Cascade Locks as well as the Vista House and it is being very well received by everyone!” Martha Lamount, Vista House Visitor Center This very comprehensive visitor guide to the Columbia River Gorge and the surrounding area is the where to go, what to see and how to find guide to the Gorge. For those of you who have this publication in your facility, you have watched them fly out the door. This is an opportunity to advertise your business and reach out to visitors who are planning their trip to the Gorge or are already here and want to know what to do! Columbia River Gorge Visitors Association (CRGVA) and Vista House have chosen this publication as their printed visitor guide to the Gorge. CRGVA also attends several trade shows in which this publication is their promotional piece to the Columbia River Gorge. In addition, this is the guide sent when there are requests for visitor guides on the CRGVA website, and it has been mailed to hundreds of visitors from all over the world. Travel Oregon distributes the guide at the following places: Portland Airport Visitor Center, and the following welcome centers: Klamath Falls, Astoria, Ashland, Lakeview, Oregon City, Brookings, Umatilla and Ontario. Travel Portland, in downtown Portland, has been a huge support and distributor for this publication as well. If advertising revenues allow, we plan to include the magazine in display racks at the Seattle Airport. Our goal is to print 75,000–100,000 copies for 2014. Please support this publication. We feel strongly that print survives, and the demand for print is very obvious as restocking and delivery has been non-stop since May. People love this magazine.
